Except I was pretty sure min-exp human ranger will always have level 26 human base class in range unless human base class guy has distended (Elloris hadn't).

My logfile shows differently (it shows you entering the room with me on Eastern as if you were chasing, even going so far as to follow me to the Farmer's Market, before I finally decided you were after me and hamstrung you - with nobody else in pk around). But for the sake of argument (and because I don't have that logfile handy) we can assume that I did indeed go after you after you'd been fighting Drothgar and you were withdrawing from that and then healed up and returned with extreme prejudice.
