#45306, "Gotta disagree with you!"
|
In a gaming world, such as CF, or any MUD, imagination plays a role similar to that which it plays when a person reads a novel. The words scrolling before your eyes are the skeleton, framework, and canvas upon which the mind adds blood and flesh, girders and wiring, gesso and paint. Therefore it's important that the foundation be, if nothing else, consistent, lest the final product (the imagining, itself) be deformed and shoddy.
When I read "The damage from that initial pincer was unexpected," it sounds, to me, like commentary being given on an OOC forum about an IC event. It does not come off like a man who just fell in glorious battle to his hated foe.
You are right that this is not a big deal, but it is certainly something that every player should avoid doing for their own sakes, as well as those who are trying to imagine.
That was a bit verbose...sorry, I've been reading a lot lately.
