I agree. Excellent RP on both parts. It is loosely how I would picture a meeting a god of light and an dark-elf healer. I do not agree with the backpeddling charge here either. Thorny stuck to his guns which have (and should have!) a differnet morality than those of Shokai. As to the punishment... Unsure. It does seem harsh as communication is what RP is based on and to cut that out and/or force the character to somehow replace that in the environment of the text-based MUD seems too much. I am sure there was some other punishment (repeated smiting, some form of feeblemindedness for 70 ticks etc.) that would have gotten the point across. What I find odd about such a tongue cutting (it is a good visual I do admit) is that one could make, I think , a good argument that a dark god might take pleasure in such a display on Thorny's part and undo the damage. In other words, god actions (can) seem to be a one way street with the entire staff somehow on the bandwagon. To put it yet another way, there is a fine line. Immortals must have respect and be felt as real irrespective of alignment, sphere etc. But there is some RP to godliness as well that goes beyond that. This could have went in many directions including futher interaction with a dark god etc. The punishemnt might have been too much but sac'ing the necklace was a tad dense. Great log as well!
