There is a fine thin line (really thin) between evil characters challenging good gods vs. disrespect to gods. Call Shokai dishonourable without supporting evidence or backup and you are an idiot. The tongue-cut was a small thing. I've seen a lot worse what Shokai did with numerous evil characters.

Yes, and i've seen Mirdulaud (sp?) the half-drow bard did it! Shokai the God was pissed, but Shokai the player liked the bard as he stated in his farewell note. And usually the dark gods will be notified about this particular character too, which may mean rewards or quests.
Another good example : Yaofhil. He was cursed by Valg but he became stronger and a maran leader after. Good character with strong RP sense.
