You were Vindicator. You were raided by a Maran. I'd raid them the next second AND keep them raided until the peace treaty was formally signed. Noone would've booted you for that. You aren't Vindicator for nothing. If Ishuli would say that you should not, I'd raid regardless because "That's my duty and if you don't want me to fulfill my duty, then demote me".

Mechanicwise - if you're Vindicator who can't kill a criminal, just bloody shackle him in Galadon and go raid. He'll sit there till shackles dissolve not being able to chase you. That's like pissing in his shoes and he can do nothing about it

And... why don't you flee/return instead of rescue?
