Chapter 21

Bloop.. drip.. a low groan in the distance followed by more drips and a
muffled splash. The murky surface undulates. Within the depths of the dark
black and green mire lurk something, something unknown to those that venture
the surface until it's too late. Skim the surface or trod the mire, but do
watch out for the muck and serpents below the pockmarked surface.

Sporadic logs and carrion encrust the paths, ones that double back and look as
if the path is nonexistent. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't but the mottled
leaves and mire ensorcel the mind and captivate the imagination with vision
beyond what lurks, more than could be seen.

Deep in those misty swampy place is the serenity of the Saurian coupled with
the death and decay of their opposition, the eternal cycle of growth and
nurturing coupled with death and destruction, the balanced place for peace of
mind.
