Chapter 12

Courage is a curious thing, it leads some people to do some rather amazing
things. The tiny child defending their family, the villager who defies the
odds, the hapless adventurer who wonders into a place that they stand little
chance of survival. Outhyen typically falling into that latter category
serves as his muse.

He's taken it upon himself to take note of the places around Thar-Eris that
he's enjoyed so much, making mental notes of each one. Some are stricken with
danger to even tread upon while others are as bliss inducing as any place ever
was.

Each place is unique and can impart some sort of feeling or lesson and it's
that sort of wisdom that he likes gathering, noting and sharing. So far, he's
only taken stock of a half a dozen that truly strike his fancy but he has a
strong belief that by the time his years expire, he'll have found the thirteen
that most closely suit him.

These places, experiences and the act of sharing them with others he sees as
Her gift to us all, and this time of year always causes him to think of the
special places that She has gifted us.
