Chapter 1

The drill general paced back and for, over come by anger from the stupidity of
the grunt. The young fire giant kneel before the general, staring at at the
ground before him. He showed no emotion, but the fear in him was great. This
was not the first time he had faultered during his military training. Walking
behind Kurbrawn the general swung a broken wooden sword across the back of his
skull. "You were given these wooden weapons for reason!" the general screamed.
"When you are told to stop, you need to STOP! This is the second sprawling
partner you have disabled! You are here to TRAIN and to DISCIPLINE YOURSELF!
I remind you, you do NOT want to know what will happen to you should you FAIL!
DO YOU HEAR ME?" after his final word the general cracked kurbrawn across his
skull once more. Kurbrawn did not flinch in pain and replied "I not faulter
again, general sir!" The general turned to his side, looking to a pair of well
armored fire giants, of high rank in the military. They both gave the general
a slow shake of their heads, the general knew what to do. "No, you won't,"
the general said before swinging his large black steel hammer at the young
giant's skull, knocking him out cold. "Take him to the auction. Make sure he
is WELL BOUND! He has broken restrains before. I assume when he awakens his
anger won't be easy to settle."

The army would not put up with the recklessness of Kurbrawn any longer. He was
indeed one of the stronger specimen they had seen, but when in combat he would
not take any orders overcome by his own rage. He would often scream deafening
warcries, even causing his own ears to ring, making the overseer's angry as
he ignored their calls. After all the trouble he had cause them, they weren't
about to simply slit his throat and feed him to the dogs. As strong as he was,
he would catch a fair price sold as a slave
of their old friends might be looking for such a brute. Big and strong but
dumb as dirt.
