Chapter 2

I longed for a long time the white-cap'd mountains. Where I use to pretend to be a
Snow Witch. Saving people from perils. Singing into the winds frigid winds to my
friends on peaks countless distances away. The birds as they came with stories from
the Hardan Woods or back from watching the silly lost in the deserts.

But here was different. Coin now ruled us. When things got tight and merchandise
became harder and harder to purchase I would be ridiculed for not advancing in
the guild of Clerigy. For I was to follow into his foosteps and 'earn' my living
in these walls. However, I was not motivated to serve these 'beasts' as I titled
them. It was all greed here. And the women were sickly and abused. I did not
dream to be one of them. Nor to follow in their footsteps.

My failures were a burden. Therefore I was traded for the Coin. I was forced into
a hell. I was to service Men so others might profit from the Coin. Invaded so that
my Uncle could feast on heavier blessings. I endured because I knew I had to.
I was destined for something more. I was pure--though those days my purity did not
shine. I was bless'd for I was an Elf. I pity those lost that were Human--those
who had to please the monsters that were Cow and their ritual. The screams and
deaths will never be forgotten. The corruption of those brothals will never be
forgiven.
