Chapter 3

I have been accepted into the Island. As my experiments have shown balance
must be maintained and now I've found others of like mind. Though I think our
ideas on the reason for maintaining balance may be different we all seek the
same thing. Eterlu spoke of the beauty of balance. I see the necessity of it
for continued existance. As important as food, water, or air. While there is
beauty in it, it is like the pleasure of a sip of cold spring water after a
long run. There is delight in the experience, but there is also the necessity
of the body needing the water to survive.

Regardless of the reasons why, we all work for the same goal. It is nice to
find a place where I belong. I'm a bit nervous as I'm new to the Island but
think I will become more comfortable as time moves on. For the time being I
will continue to grow in my abilities as a shapeshifter, and help when I'm
able to. In this way I'll prove myself as a worthy member of the Island.
