Role

Chapter 11

The air is stagnant, with a sharp scent wafting in the air. Everything in the
area is completely covered in piercing darkness, with no hint of light
anywhere. Screaming and yelling will not stop echoing from outside as her
eyelid rises slowly. Her head throbs and she tries to move and she is covered
in excruciating pain instantly. Tears begin to fill her eye and she
screams... and screams.. and screams. Her jaw begins to feel like it is
falling from her face, and she lowers her head and pushes it against her
chest. Her mind races.. as to her it is all that can move right now. She
tries to regain the slightest idea of whats happened... and nothing comes.
She comes to the realization that her midsection and legs are bound to a pole
with her hands behind it bound as well.

The noises outside start to become apparent, sounds of Giants battlecries,
chanting, hissing water.. pain.. many things. She listens intently, still
trying to collect herself, with surging pain consuming her. She moves her
hands in an attempt to escape, but the pain invokes tears that begin to fall
from her face.. landing on her knees almost feeling like they have been set
ablaze by the salty water. She squints her eye in shock and helplessness,
trying to stop the tears.. as the darkness turns to red in her closed eye. It
opens slowly and in the doorway is a human magus badly beaten. She is very
familiar to her but all these things make no sense at the moment. She quickly
looks about herself.. and the sight has never escaped her thoughts. Every
inch of flesh on her body is scorched to the point of unnatural
rehabilitation.. "Teldasill... Oh child what has happened.. What have I
done.. Oh Telda". The repititon of her name brings back the realization that
this is her Mother, the soft gentle voice that has been with her since the
very beginning of time.. Nienna. "I have found her! Come quickly Priestess!"
screams her Mother quickly.

Teldasill is in utter shock.. The light seeming to pierce her eye and hit her
brain coupling with her body to just create more pain. The elven priestess,
quite old.. but still agile, runs through the door as a large number of mages
follow promptly behind her. Nienna kneels before Teldasill with nothing but
sheer sorrow and heartache reflecting back. She notices the pain in her
childs eyes and begins to break down.. "Priestess! P..Put her to sleep NOW!..
I cannot.. I.. PUT HER TO SLEEP!". The Priestess kneels down before Teldasill
and waves her thin hands before her face, Teldasill's eyes close and the pain
drifts from her body..
