Chapter 9

An overview of her Father and his doings.. is exactly all I can do.. an
overview. His works, his dreams, and his morals, were simply amazing,. He
believed and trusted his family. He was the leader of a large platoon of
elite mages, the legacy carried to Hworan from his father. They all united
for the sake of every other magus that walked the earth, to defend them
valiantly. He studied in the arts of the elements and was master of them all.
They travelled in their quite large group (For the kind of raids they did) of
about thirty, and raided all whos life was based on destroying magic. Hworan
truly believed that if magic was wiped from the earth, that it too would be
destroyed.. breaking and falling apart without its binding.

In their march upon the planet he saved a young woman by the name of Nienna.
She was in deep study in her small home and was raided by ten of the haters
of magic. Nienna followed the arts of Shapeshifting, and studied about her
ways so much, that she was able to take many more forms then most. She
withheld over ten beasts in her body, none more deadly then the Lion though.
Hworan was camped in the woods not far at all with his troops on the
forestline when he heard the loud roar of a Lion. He knew it was a roar of
distress by a fellow magician and ordered his troops to move. The house was
on fire that Nienna lived in, and Hworan teleported to the attack. Nienna was
near death as her Lion could not stand against ten of these mongrels. With
that Hworan released a stream of lightning that traveled through every one,
and dropped them to the dirt.. dead. Nienna was nursed back to health and
Hworan knew she had nothing more so he took her with him gladly.

This is how they came together, and for over a year.. They became sheer force
and struck fear in all, and their names became known to everyone. They
decided to become one, and they were wed.. On the night of this happening
Teldasill was conceived, and after two months it became apparent that Hworan
would be a father. He began thinking of his child being a bastard with his
line of work and would not have such. He knew that with so many years of
safety with no casualties, that his time would come.. He fiddled around with
different magics to capture himself so Teldastill would always have him with
her, but was never successful. Nienna could not shift into anything during
her pregnancy or it would destroy the child so Hworan always left her
somewhere safely during the raids..

Hworan finally met his end the day after Teldasill was born.. His troops and
him were foolish and raided a whole village of the haters.. in full
confidence. The mongrels had been training to fight Hworan specifically for
some time, and Hworan's troops were outnumbered five to one, and could not
escape, it ended in the full extraction of their blood. Hworan teleported
away from them before the finishing blow was laid upon him and appeared
before Nienna in amazing luck. He laid his eyes upon Teldasill for the first
time, and Nienna began to scream. Hworan ripped the jeweled necklace from
himself and began chanting the words of the last spell he had not tried yet...
The jewel on the necklace pulsated with power.. as he whispered.. "Never let
Teldasill remove this.. ever.. I will always be with you two." And his head
