Teldasill Nacklenock the Primeval Ambush, Harbinger of Thar-Eris

Description

A truely grusome sight stands here before your eyes, although, she is
seemingly happy from the expression on her... face. She stands at about three
feet tall, though she hunches over slightly.. but not much. Very thin whispy
hair with the color of silver falls down to her opened jaw, and it bounces
slightly with her movements seeming to become unattached at moments. Her hair
outlines the rest of her facial features, it all being quite distorted. A
mixture of mutilated skin and visible muscle makes her face quite noticeable.
A set of white teeth and a lose jaw are all that form her mouth, as her lips
are completly absent. Directly above them sits a triangular bone that
protrudes about an inch where her nose once was, it sits slightly lower then
her.. eye. Her left eye is still in tact with a seemingly perfect circle of
skin surrounding it.. and where her right would be, is just a hollow depth
into her face.

The rest of her body is just as her face.. distorted and mutiliated from what
is noticeable, and she is clothed as much as possible to cover it all. Her
hands are all that is left visible and they are not the least bit attractive
as well.. The white bone of her knuckles extends above the surface, and you
notice her fingernails are completly gone as she rubs her thumb and
forefinger together.

Chapter 11

The Beginning

The air is stagnant, with a sharp scent wafting in the air. Everything in the
area is completely covered in piercing darkness, with no hint of light
anywhere. Screaming and yelling will not stop echoing from outside as her
eyelid rises slowly. Her head throbs and she tries to move and she is covered
in excruciating pain instantly. Tears begin to fill her eye and she
screams... and screams.. and screams. Her jaw begins to feel like it is
falling from her face, and she lowers her head and pushes it against her
chest. Her mind races.. as to her it is all that can move right now. She
tries to regain the slightest idea of whats happened... and nothing comes.
She comes to the realization that her midsection and legs are bound to a pole
with her hands behind it bound as well.

The noises outside start to become apparent, sounds of Giants battlecries,
chanting, hissing water.. pain.. many things. She listens intently, still
trying to collect herself, with surging pain consuming her. She moves her
hands in an attempt to escape, but the pain invokes tears that begin to fall
from her face.. landing on her knees almost feeling like they have been set
ablaze by the salty water. She squints her eye in shock and helplessness,
trying to stop the tears.. as the darkness turns to red in her closed eye. It
opens slowly and in the doorway is a human magus badly beaten. She is very
familiar to her but all these things make no sense at the moment. She quickly
looks about herself.. and the sight has never escaped her thoughts. Every
inch of flesh on her body is scorched to the point of unnatural
rehabilitation.. "Teldasill... Oh child what has happened.. What have I
done.. Oh Telda". The repititon of her name brings back the realization that
this is her Mother, the soft gentle voice that has been with her since the
very beginning of time.. Nienna. "I have found her! Come quickly Priestess!"
screams her Mother quickly.

Teldasill is in utter shock.. The light seeming to pierce her eye and hit her
brain coupling with her body to just create more pain. The elven priestess,
quite old.. but still agile, runs through the door as a large number of mages
follow promptly behind her. Nienna kneels before Teldasill with nothing but
sheer sorrow and heartache reflecting back. She notices the pain in her
childs eyes and begins to break down.. "Priestess! P..Put her to sleep NOW!..
I cannot.. I.. PUT HER TO SLEEP!". The Priestess kneels down before Teldasill
and waves her thin hands before her face, Teldasill's eyes close and the pain
drifts from her body..

Chapter 10

The Concoction

She awakens.. feeling far from normal, and habitually reaches at her chest
quickly.. "Where is my jewel?.." she thinks quizzically as her body lights up
with pain.. she squeezes her.. eyelid. She feels her face in horror and tries
to scream as her jaw unlocks and falls out of place. She pushes it back and
rests her arm on her breast as slowly as possible. Her eye is gone along with
the eyelid.. her nose.. lips.. gone. She looks around and notices she is safe
in her bed at home, covered in bandages. It is night time and she can hear
the gentle hoot of owls outside of her window. There are some medical tools
next to her on a table as well, and her mind can do nothing but wonder in
amazement as what has happened as she slowly drifts back to sleep.

She begins to dream.. so vividly though, as if it's etched itself into her
memories.. Everything moves so quickly yet so slow at the same time. A
menacing Duergar stands over her screaming.. holding a blue jewel in her
face. She shakes her head violently and he slaps her with brute force. She
opens her eyes to her limbs being held down by many creatures as her face is
cut away mercilessly by the Duergar.. still speaking about the Jewel. She
cries and cries, then passes out from the pain. Her eyes open once again,
bleeding onto herself.. The Duergar stands in amazement, and holds up the
Jewel slowly.. his mouth begins to move but she spits blood in his face
before words escape. He grabs his torch.. and lights her on fire.. but he
hears screams coming from outside.. he turns to look at her, grabs his axe
hanging from the door, and makes his way outside. Turning to look at her for
the last time, he throws the jewel on the ground and smashes it with the axe
as he slams the door. She howls in piercing agony as the fire engulfs her for
minutes.. she feels herself slipping as she looks around the darkness.. A
blue aura from the broken jewel shines brightly and consumes her,
annihilating the fire. She moans, binded to something, for over a half hour
until the sound of battle becomes enraging.

Teldasill wakes up gasping for air, and moves her eye about the room quickly.
Nienna sits next to her crying.. knowing her nine year old daughter shall die
soon. Teldasill tells her it is fine, that she will get to be with her
father, Hworan. She tries to be strong for her mother has already lost half
of her family, she does not want to die and leave her with nothing. They
speak for some time and the Priestess walks in with a look on her face most
would think not suitable in this situation. The Priestess kneels down next to
Teldasill and begins to speak.. "Telda, I have some grand news, that you may
fully thank the forests for. I begin by asking you if you wish to live or
die..". She looks at the priestess with a blank look and Nienna quickly says
that she wishes to live. Teldasill nods slowly. The priestness nods and fills
a needle with a strange liquid from a fuschia vial, afterwards injecting it
into Teldasill's heart, then nodding sagely says, "Our alchemist has
concocted this potion from a rare plant within these woodlands.. It shall
null your current pain to mere irritation, preserving your body like a fossil
that has never been fossilized. The only concomitant action is that your
physical growth will be stunted permanentl

Chapter 9

Her Father

An overview of her Father and his doings.. is exactly all I can do.. an
overview. His works, his dreams, and his morals, were simply amazing,. He
believed and trusted his family. He was the leader of a large platoon of
elite mages, the legacy carried to Hworan from his father. They all united
for the sake of every other magus that walked the earth, to defend them
valiantly. He studied in the arts of the elements and was master of them all.
They travelled in their quite large group (For the kind of raids they did) of
about thirty, and raided all whos life was based on destroying magic. Hworan
truly believed that if magic was wiped from the earth, that it too would be
destroyed.. breaking and falling apart without its binding.

In their march upon the planet he saved a young woman by the name of Nienna.
She was in deep study in her small home and was raided by ten of the haters
of magic. Nienna followed the arts of Shapeshifting, and studied about her
ways so much, that she was able to take many more forms then most. She
withheld over ten beasts in her body, none more deadly then the Lion though.
Hworan was camped in the woods not far at all with his troops on the
forestline when he heard the loud roar of a Lion. He knew it was a roar of
distress by a fellow magician and ordered his troops to move. The house was
on fire that Nienna lived in, and Hworan teleported to the attack. Nienna was
near death as her Lion could not stand against ten of these mongrels. With
that Hworan released a stream of lightning that traveled through every one,
and dropped them to the dirt.. dead. Nienna was nursed back to health and
Hworan knew she had nothing more so he took her with him gladly.

This is how they came together, and for over a year.. They became sheer force
and struck fear in all, and their names became known to everyone. They
decided to become one, and they were wed.. On the night of this happening
Teldasill was conceived, and after two months it became apparent that Hworan
would be a father. He began thinking of his child being a bastard with his
line of work and would not have such. He knew that with so many years of
safety with no casualties, that his time would come.. He fiddled around with
different magics to capture himself so Teldastill would always have him with
her, but was never successful. Nienna could not shift into anything during
her pregnancy or it would destroy the child so Hworan always left her
somewhere safely during the raids..

Hworan finally met his end the day after Teldasill was born.. His troops and
him were foolish and raided a whole village of the haters.. in full
confidence. The mongrels had been training to fight Hworan specifically for
some time, and Hworan's troops were outnumbered five to one, and could not
escape, it ended in the full extraction of their blood. Hworan teleported
away from them before the finishing blow was laid upon him and appeared
before Nienna in amazing luck. He laid his eyes upon Teldasill for the first
time, and Nienna began to scream. Hworan ripped the jeweled necklace from
himself and began chanting the words of the last spell he had not tried yet...
The jewel on the necklace pulsated with power.. as he whispered.. "Never let
Teldasill remove this.. ever.. I will always be with you two." And his head

Chapter 8

Her Decision

Teldasill awakens three days later with no pain at all. She feels for her
necklace once again, with the realization she has lost contact with her
father. She is overcome with discomfort though.. itching, heat, and a slight
pinching feeling. Her body is still grotesque but is scentless, it has a
ripped and mutilated texture yet feels smooth. She is completely astounded by
this concoction that has saved her life, but she realizes she will never grow
and be like this forever.. and is somewhat distraught.

Nienna is summoned to her, to talk to her clear headed child.. They speak
some time, about the future, about the Ragers knowing of the Jewel, but
mostly of Nienna's love and thankfulness for still breathing daughter. Nienna
was in no way ashamed of her child, but knew she must do the only thing left
to fix her appearance. "Telda.. you turned ten years old during your rest.. I
believe it is time to begin your schooling." said Nienna. "You have the
choice of your path, I am merely here to set you in the right direction..".
Teldasill nods solemnly and replies.. "I wish to be like you Mother.. I do
not enjoy these feelings, turning into those beasts could stop them. And I
shall avenge my father, for they have killed him twice now.." Nienna was
pleased Teldasill had made the decision alone and nodded to her daughter.
"Rest then child, you can begin your studies tomorrow, you will gain much
knowledge before you are able to leave my wing..."

Chapter 7

Her Releasing

Teldasill has abandoned her bandages although she is very shy, and depressed
with her looks, but she knows her spirit will live on. She studies every day
learning of all the magics before she departs to her profession. Being
trained and taught by her Mother is likely the best way for this one to be
brought up. Their library was quite astounding as well. Teldasill has access
to thousands of books written by her father.. mother.. and troops over the
years. Such a well respected and feared group, was more knowledgable then
others could understand. This continues for eight years.. Her becoming more
and more hungry for ideas and knowledge about her future guild.. and also
trying to become accustomed to the annoying feelings she always has.

She likely has the ability to shift already at the age of eighteen but waits
until she finds her guildmaster. She tells her mother she believes she cannot
study anymore from books.. that she must unleash herself upon the world.. She
must feel what it is like to change into a beast, and run with four legs, or
fly above everything, or swim fast through the sea. And her mother agrees..
though Teldasill wishes not to abandon her.. she feels she must leave alone
to begin her life, as her father did.. and as her mother did. Hesitantly her
mother agrees..

The next eve.. Teldasill prepares to leave, she does not know where she
goes.. simply that she must be taught from another perspective, from a wise
guildmaster that likely has taught longer then her father was alive. She
enters the boat, filled with provisions, and sits on the river and lays down.
She gives her farewells to all that see her off, and says farewell to her
mother. She comes out of the river into an ocean.. she sits up only to eat..
Not wanting to know how to get back home. The trip took weeks and she came
across a town called Hamsah Mu'Tazz. She sought out her Guildmaster.. and
only now, does her time begin.

Chapter 6

The Calling

The acidic taste left behind from her jackal still plagues her mouth as she
reverts back to her mutilated form. She stands within a great forest hiding
in the trees that she has been become so accustomed to, but stops in her
tracks. Her heart begins to feel faint and beats softer and softer as she
lowers herself to one knee with a sense of urgency springing up within her.

The world seems to completely freeze and suspend itself in this one moment of
time. The woodland stands out more than it ever has... every broken twig,
rush of wind, and rustling of leaves louder than it ever has been. Then the
forest seems to bear down on her as her heart begins to beat faster and
faster. Feeling more than unnatural she looks at her deformed arms and sees
her veins starting to change colors. Morphing from their normal blueish tint,
they begin to glow a bright green, as if a light courses her veins now
instead of her lifeblood.

Falling forward she cries out in fright as she feels like she is leaving her
body. Fearing that death is overcoming her she begins shaking her head back
and forth wildly, but to no avail... everything starts to become darker and
darker, quieter and quieter. Then.. a giant rushing wind seems to rush over
the petrified skin of her miniature body as she falls over unconscious.

Chapter 5

The Meeting

Her eyes open very slowly as she looks down at her body laying on the ground.
She is in the spirit and begins to looks around herself... "Have I passed on
to the afterlife?" she asks. But suddenly, a bright light begins to emanate
from the Trees as a beautiful figure, looking almost angelic, comes down to
meet Teldasill's spirit.

"I had thought this time would never come my dear child." spoke the figure.
"Wh.. wh.. what's happening, w.. who are you?" whispers Teldasill. "I am the
wind, I am the beasts, I am everything you have experienced as you have
hidden your.. deformed figure.. in these wilds my child. I am Mother Nature"
says the glorious form before her. Teldasill begins to feel afraid, and
lowers herself to the ground humbly with a bit of fright.

Mother comes closer to Teldasill and places a hand upon her shoulder as she
speaks once more... "You have a piece of me inside of you, I am the reason
you live without pain. The plant that saved your soul, is the plant that has
brought us into direct communion. Others always seek outward things.. outward
signs, but they don't realize it must be placed within thier hearts first..
just like you. Teldasill, I have watched you, waiting for the opportunity to
reveal myself, I have breathed these blessings of beasts into your heart..
because I desire you".

"I.. I.. I don't what to say. I have taken to these woodlands to hide myself
in shame, I have fought for the Tree and I have always sensed more.. but
never dreamed that you were so real... Why would you desire me?" says the
confused gnome.

"Your tools are those that I guide daily, the beasts of the fields, the birds
of the skies, even those that lurk in the sea. You have ran into my arms
without knowing it, and I chose to take you in as mine. Will you let me
nurture you, will you let me guide you, will you aid me in restoring Thera?"
weeps the broken figure.

Feeling such truth within her words, Teldasill agrees and lets Mother
minister to her soul. After growing together for a bit longer, Teldasill's
spirit sinks back into her lifeless body and her eyes open to new life.

Chapter 4

The Answer

As Teldasill regains herself and wakes up, she looks about the forest with
new eyes. She begins to hear sounds, troublesome sounds coming from the
ground. "I hear her pain..." speaks the still astonished beast magus. Her
veins slowly fade from the bright green light to her normal color as tears
begin to well up in her eyes from the sounds.

She runs over to a small stump laying in the forest and stands on top of it
and shouts out, "I will do whatever it takes!... Those who destroy the places
I hide in fellowship with you, those who destroy your land to extract it's
precious treasures, those who defile the natural, use me!".

Feeling as if a burden of ages has been lifted from her inner woman,
Teldasill steps off of the stump and closes her eyes with a sense of
accomplishment. Raising her arms to the sky she tunes herself in with
Mother's heart and walks deep into the forest.

Submerged in Her Spirit

*Sitting upon a stump while listening to the winds, Teldasill meditates in
peace when her veins begin to glow green once more. Feeling submerged in the
spirit of Mother, feelings begin to well up in her heart and a tear wells up
in her eye*

Please! Cease with the torment... cease with the pain...
How can you do this, to someone so great?
You could have everything, and just get away...
Yet you cover her up, and still spit in her face.

She cares for you! Shes a nurturing a Mother...
If you let her come to you, I know you would love Her!
Yet you've hardened your heart, and live for yourself...
Prancing the streets and bragging of wealth.

But what if it leaves you? What have you then?...
Your Spirit is still broken, and you're deserted by men.
Yet, the one I know is faithful, one who NEVER leaves...
Watching her children with pleasure, on the wind in the trees.

But beware, all Mothers defend their daughters and sons...
And you have seen nothing of the wrath to come.
She will endure only so much, before it is time...
And with every new citizen, that moment is nigh.

Take heed all of you, those who rape land and stack bricks...
Your existance and ours, simply won't mix.
Destruction is coming, no more slaps on the wrist...
I stand for freedom of spirit, a vessel of Thar-Eris.

It's ironic, how I knew nothing until I became concealed...
And it brought the full glory of my Mother to be revealed.

Chapter 2

A Dream from the Ancients pt.1

*Teldasill slinks from bush to bush remaining unseen as she slips around the
Prosimy forest heading back to the Tree. An odd sense comes over like when
the Ancients first spoke to her, and she closes her eye without fear this
time. Her veins surge with green light and she falls over as if commanded to
sleep as a Tree pulls it's root from the ground and hides her in a fern*

She opens her eye and is face down on the earth, her excuse of a nose takes
in the smell of dirt of and trampled grasses as she pulls her mangled hands
to her side to support herself. She quits breathing for a moment and hears a
sound of sizzling, as if a farmer was branding his cattle. Growing louder and
louder to a hiss she raises her eye to see the feet of something, the ground
being burned all around it and becoming lifeless...

Looking up with a sense of fear, a demented looking conjurer stands glaring
deep into her one eye, illuminated only by the moon that peeks from behind a
dark cloud in the night time sky. A cackling devil dances around at his side
and a hulking form of water towers over the conjurer from behind. The ground
continues to crackle and burn below it's feet as she scuffles backwards
attempting to create some distance.

The conjurer crosses his arms and glares without movement as a piercing sound
blasts Teldasill's ears. Like fingernails on the chalkboard back in her old
classroom, this sound is magnified in a much worse fashion. She covers her
floppy burned ears in an attempt to find the source as she sees a dwarf and
duergar from out of the trees on both respective sides of her, each one
dragging a pickaxe that sligtly tears open the earth. They stop in their
tracks and the incessant disturbing sound stops with the dragging of their
axes halted, and she stands up ready to shift into a beast...

Chapter 1

A Dream from the Ancients pt.2

... She concentrates on the sleek black and orange shaped figure she has
grown so accustomed to.. but cannot find it within her. The three defilers
that stand around her are joined by more and more. Lawmen stand around with
their guards, she can see the look of sadness in their eyes, knowing they
live life in bondage. Imperials later step out of the woods too, with each
step they take turning the ground into footprints of concrete around them.

Teldasill cries out, and without care for her life, she tries to pull the
concrete from the ground, digging and digging to the base but it seems as if
concrete posts are going to the other side of the earth. She spins around in
a circle over and over looking at every defiler surrounding her enclosing her
into a perfect circle. The sounds become louder, and louder... sizzling,
scratching, crying, orders being barked, and the earth whimpering back all
rolled together into a conglomerate of chaotic pain.

She stops spinning and just yells "MOTHER! HELP!"

An an instant, a giant surge of green light bursts from her diminutive body
and she watches as if time slows. The force picks all of those surrounding
her from their feet, and she watches as they slowly fly into the air and back
down with their backs to the ground... time speeds back up again and they hit
the ground with such a force that the earth swallows them completely.

The ground begins to heal where the conjurer stood, and the concrete melts
away and turns to dust as the wind picks it up to fly through the night sky.
A rush of peace overcomes her and she hears a voice.. "Continue to listen
Teldasill, you subside the pain and do well. When it looks like all hope is
gone, remember, Thera is mine.. not thiers. And you will never be overcome
with me by your side."

*Teldasill wakes up safely in the fern, and nods to herself trying to calm
her own beating heart. She stands up with a tear in her eye and rides the
wind into the Refuge to share what happened with the others*
