A pet peeve about manning the newbie channel for me: Someone asks a very basic question, gets the simple answer, and people feel obliged to contribute the rare exceptions to the rule. Yes, if he picks up one of the 5 or 6 items in the game with a flaming/shocking prog, this method doesn't work.

However, telling new players this generates a lot more confusion than it resolves. Please stick to the basics on this forum.
