If someone wants to go through the hard path of alignment change, I don't get why you'd want to punish them even more. Historically the few who've done that have got their specs/whatnot back in the end, no? And I don't recall anyone becoming an unstoppable uberforce because of that. Besides, the game is NOT RP-only, and putting such a hard-line restriction would only discourage doing something out of the ordinary or actual RP regarding alignment change (not that I would personally ever knowingly try to play such a character).
