Not taking any sides, but when did a 2 on 1 become a gangbang? Years ago, a gang was something like 8 imperials chasing down someone, or nightgaunting them. Now adays, if someone doesn't think they had a fair chance in a fight they start crying about getting ganged.

In my humble opinion, a 2 on 1 is perfectly fine. Your obviously not doomed to die, and you have a chance to escape. In the particular situation that is described, the two ragers were trying to AVOID attacking him at the same time. They weren't spamming trip and cranial, which to me would indicate they were aiming on killing him. Not that my opinion is heavily weighted, but I think you were splitting hairs, Thror. Not trying to be an ass, but if you think a 2 on 1 is a gang then good god you didn't experience any REAL gang'in. Loosen the reigns man, a fight has to go perfectly for two people to totally gank 1 person without them getting a flee in or recalling.

In a cabal that prides itself on victory, and not losing any men, it's awful risky constantly forcing individual battles. I just don't see an army in a war taking risks like that. Two villagers travelling together wouldn't think twice about killing a mage TOGETHER. Its silly to let the mage have a chance to escape because fear of getting kicked out for not fighting fair.

<sarcasm>Before long two ragers might get two scions jacked, and both of them attack one of the sleeping guys...then get kicked out for gang'in them.</sarcasm>

Just as an aside, alignment should play a role in how this pans out in the world. A good aligned warrior might try and fight the fair fight, but by god a duergar or drow are going to try and kill their enemy ruthlessly. As it stands now, alignment doesn't really play much of a role in battle at all. Everyone has to play the same "fair" character or they might get booted.
