1) I certainly wouldn't bust down a minotaur warrior for being brutal. I'd probably hand them free XP if they did it with style while I was watching.

2) Xandrya isn't an innocent bystander. She made herself the voice of an organization with goals that would impact a lot of people. If you're going to write lots of notes telling people how they better play ball or face forced subjugation, you should accept that some characters are well within bounds to bash you into next Friday.

Those who seek to destroy the orderly lives of Thera's peoples and those who are by nature opposed to civilized society will likely oppose the rise of the Empire and, while we view this as most unfortunate, bloodshed will occur.

A veiled threat is still a threat.

One of the cooler things about Carrion Fields being a PK-allowed MUD is that when your enemy talks about conquering the world, you can give them an axe-flavored reality check. Otherwise, you're just having an emote-fight off in some corner, and that gets old fast. It's the same philosophy I use when running quests- it's one thing to hang around and chat, and I have fun doing that as well, but for the more serious rewards, I'm going to put you in harm's way and/or make you puzzle out some real dilemmas.
