The Herald Kalmah was wonderful and he was the character that Xandrya fell in love with. You can be a REAL charmer! Getting to know him in the Inn and running around with him for gear, the proposal, marriage, and all of that was really fun. And it says a lot for your RP abilities that you are doing a geat job with changing him from the kind drunk fun guy to black-hearted power-monger.

What you failed to realize I think, is that Xandrya would have continued to back him no matter what, even when she started to see the changes in him. Her role was such that her whole life became dedicated to Kalmah and his cause whether it was good/evil/or indifferent, I don't think that you realized that though. She continued preaching the word for the Empire in hopes that people would believe her and rally to Kalmah's cause. If he had let her continue to be his diplomat he might have gained more people into the Empire. The pen truly can be mightier than the sword especially when it comes from a sweet beautiful bard that people trust. I was constantly getting tells from people who were interested and wanted to know more about it.

I also was really trying to gain ranks with her and would have...and in fact very SERIOUSLY wanted to fight along side you for the cause. She was only 723 exp from rank 41 at which level I could have gone learning with Nurwon and he would have helped me rank up. I suffered a lot of deaths though and it seemed like everyone who hated Kalmah was out to get Xandrya if they could. Multiple assassinations didn't help much at all. I probably would never have rage-deleted if you hadn't sicked Yurtag on her like that though.

Xandrya might have become the vengeful angry ex-wife and done all in her power to defeat Kalmah's little Empire scheme when he dumped her for Shil'Uzar OR she may have tried to win you back by becoming what you wanted her to be all along. But I was too upset OOC by the multiple pking by Yurtag and I figured you really wanted her dead and gone so that was why I deleted. Now Xandrya has become a martyr of sorts and I think you're going to find she had a lot of friends that aren't going to be happy with Kalmah. May they avenge her death a thousand times over!

I actually learned more than you think I did about being a bard. I'm certainly not the best at it by a long shot, but I can back a group quite well now. The sad thing is Xandrya was just at the point where I was finally using her songs very well in battle. Too bad you turned on her, because she really COULD have been an asset for you. I know I raged about getting killed a lot. Some of that was out of frustration OOC, but I tried to keep it IC when she got angry about it...but a lot of it was just Xandrya being a VERY emotional female.

And I knew you were from Ireland when we talked and Kalmah said he was from Erin. I am not personally from Scotland, but my grandmother was and I have a lot of heritage from there. Some day I want to visit Scotland if I can.

When Kalmah kicks the bucket, (and I do hope he gets his just desserts soon) I hope we'll get the chance to interact again with different characters, you can be a lot of fun.
