>I am sincerely depressed by the change in the flow of the >game. It was, after passing level 41, next to impossible to >find a decent one-on-one or few-on-few fight. It was either >get ganked into oblivion, or see no trace of your enemies >because they fear getting ganked into oblivion. The only part of your post I agree with to an extent, its very hard to get a decent one on one fight.
>Sylvan: >Boggles the mind to log on and see a declaration of war. I >took your sapling, and hated every minute of it. MANY >battle-roles are founded around nature. Much of battle is >bound by nothing but natural law. Our enemies are mostly >the same. Stupid fucking war, and I'm glad that I never had >to kill any of you. There are some huge inately >contradicting actions/statements that guide the village that >just drive me batty. That declaration was one of them.
Thror declared the war over an incident you had no part in, you did not send a scroll to ask why, instead you bitch about it here. I dislike the war as much as the next but untill the issue is resolved it remains. Thror declared the war knowing it is exaclty what I would do when the pact was breached. When you dont know all the facts, dont presume to make judgements.
>Grogim: You're worthless. Delete. Half your edicts are >idiocy. Getting into battle is hard for all of the wrong >reasons, and easy for all of the wrong reasons. At the same >time. You were probably a good rager, but you're a piss >poor leader. The only reason you won the Rites was that >there was no real competition. Thanks for captain!
Your opinion matters little to me and I looked over your post yesterday and contemplated ignoring it completely but its mindless throwaway comments like this that pustulate into a nasty disease so I am here to poultice your scabby comments.
The edicts were my choice as I am leading the village within the paramaters set out by the Immortals of it. They have no problem and I am sure they are probably glad to see a change from the cookiecutter policies that seemed to have been present with the last few leaders. The idea of finding a sponsor was to make sure the applicants only really needed to see one rager around regularly. having been an applicant and never seeing much meant that getting two recs was often tough. If the applicant was clever they would know to pick a rager elder who suits them. Scouts look for scouts and so on. Also the traits of that villager should suit their style. Zenguk had a sponsor from a villager I know plays hard and dies hard and I said to zenguk that I do not want him to follow his chosen sponsor in his actions, I made a deal that if he died needlesly and stupidly he would be out and the rest is history. This brings me to your failed sponsor who you had not even asked how many mages they killed when they had killed NONE and then tried to lie to me. I got a heads up, they got kicked out and my estimation of you, which was high up untill then, dropped. It dropped even further when you were convincing a young rager to 'trade' his items back with Rogedax who was (a) a Betrayer (b) Hunted and (c) a Nexun and I was about to kick you out then but I was a firm believer in 2nd chances and I gave you one then and just told you how bad it was and how bad it looked. This stab in the back now makes me wonder why I bothered.
I already addressed the sylvan war and as for winning the rites. Well its not all just about bloodthirst and hitting deathblows which, for all intents and purposes, you were. Its about the whole package. Nourn got very lucky with a tick right after he got dirted in the rites but this is the game and luck plays a part. When we had our duel I missed 5 of my perfected skills and as we never duelled again I could not say if you were better than me or not. I would not be so presumtious to judge.
Officers are picked on ability and , for me, to display a trait in Grogim's make-up that I think is lacking. I also consider playing times to make sure that almost 24 hrs of the day are covered and there is always an officer about. You were the harsh, arrogance that Grogim does not have. If I did have it, well, as I said before you would not have even been a rager as long as you were. They are reasons for everything and you did not care to find out any. I often wonder how such small-minded people can have such big egos.
Grogim, out.
