Chapter 2

After joining the Shadow sect, Zqoemoa worked vigorously to ascend in ranks,
gathering gold, earning respect by striking at the Empire's enemies. However
what he did not expect was his... superiors. While loyal to the Empire by the
oath, he was in no way fond of others in either his sect or the Empire itself,
save for the Sodsob whom he has travelled a lot with and learned not to trust,
but to understand his motives at least. One of the days, in an unfortunate
sequence of events, he was bullied by the Elite Shadow, Camdon, which resulted
in Zqoemoa's demotion to a mere Oath.

Although he took the blow in stride and worked hard to regain his position,
not only proving his loyalty to the Empire, but to the other members of the
council as well, the event has left an emotional trace on Zqoemoa. He has
now become taking the imperial law in a more... formal manner, seeing that
opening himself too much to the others may well lead to his downfall. Adding
that to his abominational murderous nature, the thirst for blood was again
boiling inside him, now mixing with the Oath, and the result was somewhat
resembling the "typical" imperial law-abiding citizen, but indeed
resembling only.

If the imperial law breach was not going to be punished by the imperial
authorities, that was not a law breach to him anymore. The letter of the
law, not the spirit of it, was in Zqoemoa's mind now.
