Chapter 4

Ackor's eyes open up slowly and as he tries to sit up pain wracks his
entire body. Bandaged from head to claw it is painful for him to move
as he manages to sit up. So many questions ran through his head as he
looked about the room around him. Why was he not dead? Where was he?
As he looked around he noticed he was in a small room that resembled
an office of some sorts. He stood up best he could and began examining
random things he saw. There were scalps, skulls, jars of blood and
other trophies of some sorts everywhere as well as weapons of different
kinds everywhere. The door opens and a large fearsome cloud giant steps
foward to him, Thrym Bloodletter.
"So you have finally awoken?", Thrym says in a deep tone. "I had my
best defender bandage you up best they could. You have been asleep for
a week, I am sure you are hungry. You were brought here it seems after
you were found nearly dead in Hamsah. The orphanage to the south would
not accept you. They only take humans. You are welcome to stay here
until you get back on your feet. Or wings. Whichever you prefer. Now
you must be starving. I am well. You can tell me what happened. You
yelled a couple times in your sleep. Something about a mage it seemed
like one or two times you did. Now tell me your name and your story."
"My name is Ackor Greenwing...", starts off as Ackor begins telling
Thrym the story of all he remembered. He explained that it all seemed
like a bad nightmare and he could hardly believe it was real. As he
told the story he scarfed down venison and water and it felt refreshing
to his aching body.
After he told his story he and Thrym began to talk some more as Thrym
began telling him of his hate for mages and his glorious days of being
a Battlerager. He agreed to teach Ackor the ways of combat and that
once he had healed he could begin his training. A few days passed by
and Thrym comes to Ackor one morning bright and early, a practice sword
in his hands. Inscribed on the side of the hilt says 'Ackor GreenWing'.
Thrym hands him the weapon and says "Your training begins now."
