Chapter 18

The figure motioned to a massive hammer on the ground, it
had once again seemed to eat the light about it, glowing
furiously red and emitting a soft hum that resonated within
his mind.

"Whad yer be sayin ta meh eh?" Gruhnarld said.

The raspy voice beneath the hood said, "If you take hold of
that hammer, you shall be granted the knowledge of a master smith.
Your creations shall become famous through the lands for their
potentcy of death, and all shall come to envy what you create."

Gruhnarld looked at the robed figure, his brow furrowing,
"Whad yer be wantin from me den eh? Whad ah be havin ta give fer
dis gift yer be offerin meh eh?"

The robed figure choked out, "You want to be a smith, dwarf?"

Gruhnarld said, "Mere den yer be knowin!"

The raspy voice replied, "Then all I ask is that you do as you
desire, that you create that which I have given you the knowledge
to create... And that you never stop."

Looking at the Hammer, Gruhnarld thought of the day earlier, his
envy of the smith filling his heart, desires of fame filling
his mind. He could hear the hammer calling to him, it's echoing
clang making his spirit rise.

As Gruhnarld reached for the Hammer the robed figure said
with it's raspy strained voice, "Know this Dwarf, once you take
my gift, you cannot give it back, I can only take it back,
and with a price..."
