#13, "Tribunal Laws"

Please update tribunal laws/policies to make them more interesting and fun.

They haven't changed since forever, If I remember well the last change was the addition of seantryn Modan to the protected cities.

Right now, unless its peak times it gets very boring for the non raiding tribunals. There is very little people at the cities, and if there are a decent number of people in the particular city that you have to guard they see the tribunal there and the boring times continue.

The coding would be minimal, but I have no idea how to change them without them being overpowered/unfair.

I think the laws should change so being a tribunal is still fun regardless of player numbers.

Right now its "fun" only when you are a hero or an officer (provincial, vindicator, justiciar)

Making Tribunal a little more interesting has been on my list for a while and I have a couple ideas, which is good because you didn't help me much with specifics. I'm going to call this one a long term item and say that you'll probably see something happen in 2015.

You are right, let me try to be more helpful, its probably something that you already saw,but who knows, maybe you will like it.

I am thinking make all non-officer tribunals (aka the normal tribunal) be able to guard all protected cities, instead of only one. But don't give them lieutenants, that should be an officer only thing.
I think this would help make things more interesting.

Maybe add a new type of officer that helps the provost oversee the magistrates work on the cities since the workload would probably increase because of the already mentioned change.

And/or add more justiciar positions available at the same time. This in regards to the new type of officer spot, that way you could have the justiciars oversee the normal tribunal work and flag decisions on an increased workload.

Hope that helps a little more

It's kind of a death sentence at lower ranks, currently, and no fun that wanted=outlander typically

I disagree that it's a death sentence, but it's certainly inconvenient and that's largely by design.

I'll continue to chew on some ideas I have with regards to Tribunal and law stuff and see where things go. Hopefully your idea of fun includes a degree of risk though, as while I agree the whole cops and robbers dynamic could use some spice, it'll certainly never be harmless fun.

Maybe make a merchant that only deals with <Wanted> Customers.

I am so rarely wanted that I don't know what things I would want that I can't easily get anywhere else. Perhaps something cool for helping avoid the cops?

This is something we can accomplish with progs if an area author wishes. I'm not going to go out of my way to create a brand new shop with items for this use case right now, but if someone else up here feels like making a mini project out of it I'd certainly whip up the trivial prog.

Definitely about risk, with just some reward and wrinkles. Thinking like edges or straight up mechanics for things like if wanted for so many hours become 'infamous' and bully merchants into doing business with you with a nice haggle bonus, or lower level guards run from you when see you - still yelling, of course, and drawing more powerful guards to you (you'd still be well advised to avoid galadon and hamsah).
