Seems reasonable, who, where, whois all will give you an echo instead of drawing you out now (after the next reboot of course).
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

I took that into account when I did it, and came to that conclusion as well.

By the way, thanks Zulgh for that change! In fact I had no problem with duo before, I had developed other reflexes than to type "where" all the time, but thanks much for listening to the playerbase.
One big concern I have, though, is that no longer can you do a targetted "where" with duo. This is a MAJOR downgrade, so I assume perhaps this is an overlook and that the change was only aimed at modifying the behavior of non-targetted "wheres"?
Thanks,
Vorondel

Also, there is another major drawback with the changes that were made. Now, when you do a non-taregetted "where" it will always tell you that you can't do it, even though there is none in the area. Before, if there was no one, you didn't step out. So basically, now you have to step out of duo each time you want to assess that there is no one around, even in less traveled areas.
Again, I am wondering if this is by design, or rather another side-effect of the change that was perhaps not considered. If it is by design, then the muters of this land have gained one minor advantage (which I see as an annoyance, personally), but two *major* disadvantages. I know we muters had some love recently, but seriously I'd give up all my new spells for the "targetted where" and the "no step out when none is around" features of duo. But it isn't by design, aye?
Thanks!

Stop please. 2 major disadvantages? Could you over exaggerate a little more? I think 90% of the transmuter players will be over joyed with these changes. That which does not kill us, makes us stronger.

First let me just say that I think the change (the rationale behind it) you suggested is alright. Personally, I think the old duo was fine and I used "who pk" to step out of duo like Isildur mentioned, but hey, if some players want this feature, I'm all for it.
BUT, I don't know how long you've played your transmuter, or if you read my post correctly, but let me explain it more clearly.
Before yesterday, duo'ed muters could do "where <whoever>" and if the guy was there, he'd show up on your where list WITHOUT YOU STEPPING OUT OF DUO. Can you see the uses for this? For scouting, seeing who is around without being seen, checking if you're being followed, etc etc etc.
Are you saying that loosing this ability is NOT a major drawback? When I noticed this I immediately thought this was an overlook and not by design. I'm not sure why you're saying that I exaggerate here. I just state the obvious: as a result of a player request the spell was changed, fine with me, but two bugs came along with it and I simply report them.
I don't suggest to drop the change, on the contrary. I am just asking if it'd be possible to incorporate the change you suggested, but without losing the normal features of the spell. After all, isn't it the original intent?
Makes sense?
Thank you,
Vorondel
