Maybe this falls under the general pussification of CF and is therefore offensive to the hardcore playerbase & imms, however, here's my two cents for what its worth. The new outfit command goes a long way into helping me get back on my feet after a full looting - food, water, a boat, a light source. Still, most classes will need to go out and either request (as a lightwalker) or kill for better gear to be ready to rank and/or pk (or just survive pk attempts). What can be frustating in this regard is you often wake up with minimal hp, mana, moves. Meaning that if your bank account is wiped out, several hours of sleeping is the first thing on the check list. I would really like to wake up as a ghost with full stats. The result being able to instantly head off and start picking things up. I realize I'm not qualified to make this call, but it doesn't seem like a grossly unbalancing change to make Thera a little more ghost friendly.

Additionally, this would change (intentionally) the consequences of picking up damage inflicting or poisoned gear from your own corpse. I've seen logs to prove I'm not the only person to leave multiple corpses lying next to a fiery ring or bracelet of electricity. As well, emetic poisoning being able to affect and kill you as a ghost is another neat little trick that I'm not the only person to discover the hard way.

I kind of like it that you can leave multiple corpses from fiery rings, bracelets of electricity, or even emetic poison. I wish people could put stuff INTO your corpse like the old fiery logs and what not. The thought that you, a walking corpse, should have to think a few seconds before you g all corpse;wear all pleases me.

I can't speak for everyone, but I know that the possibility of dangerous things being in your corpse makes me less likely to full loot you for later sorting. I'm more likely to look through it right there and only pick up what I think I need. Unless of course we're in a high traffic area, or I see you coming before I'm done sorting.

I BELIEVE that you have an accelerated regen rate while a ghost. That rate seems to go away if you use recall. You already get free mvs. I think giving you the ability to easily pick off mobs (read: giving you full hp or mana) while you're a ghost is a good idea. You're dead. You're supposed to lose all your gear, and you're supposed to be weak until you can regain your power (getting gear back).

That's just my two cents. Any indication that I know what I'm talking about or have any say in the matter is purely coincidental and blah blah blah.

you don't die once from looting a burning (etc) item. You die multiple times.

Maybe I'm just weird, but this has never really bothered me. The reduced movement cost for ghosts lets me run pretty much wherever I want to go. By the time I get there I usually have enough hp to request if I'm good-aligned. If I'm not good-aligned then I'm generally running to places to pick stuff up off the ground (if I'm low-ranked) or killing stuff pretty easily even with low-hp (if I'm high ranked). But I don't play warriors often, so they're likely different.

But then my regear usually consists of stuff like grabbing a couple of skull rings, a weapon of the right type, no matter how crap. Maybe see if stuff is lying in Udgaard or Eryn Galen.

That's usually got me back in a position to pk, without costing me many hp at all.

As far as emetic poison goes, ok, but you would die again een if at full strength. My personal view is that emetic poison should enter your system when you regain corporeality if you wore such an item while a ghost. In most cases, you'd still die.

And yes, I've also taken my fair share of multiple deaths from get all corpse;wear all;get all corpse. To at least 5 different items that I know of. Worst thing is is when someone has butchered your corpse and then left additional things to damage you when you do a get all from the ground. Or when someone gave you something nasty just before you died.
