You are viewing a read-only archive of the Carrion Fields discussion forums built from a snapshot of the forum database on 2026-08-25. The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. Today, that discussion continues on Discord (see the main website for a link).

Some of the special-purpose forums are listed below along with their replacements (as of writing):

#632, "Corpseguard"

Santa Zulg,

Is there anyway we can change the guardcorpse such that it will
allow groupmates to loot your corpse in case you are killed by someone that is out of your groupmates range but in yours.

Currently, if someone higher than you kills you and not in groupmates range, then the killer can loot your corpse, without your groupmates able to do much to save your things.

If you don't trust you groupmates, trustgroup is off, then it will prevent groupmates from looting if corpseguard is active.

Thanks

I'm happy with the design of corpseguard as it stands. I don't see this as really necessary.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
