Just curious if we're compatible - without going the eHarmony route.

I am so new, I don't even have an IMM tag. What's that indicate? If one were to place any credence in that other website, it 'might' indicate a possible lack of longevity...it doesn't, however.

Playing times? I am around quite often and check the pray logs daily.

As to our being compatible...who can say. I am pretty one-way about things, and I do not forgive.

Ed. - They did, however, give me that immtag.

Is there a shrine or is this a case of pray at an appropriate spot? Seems more like a religion that would have a shrine, but there aren't the usual clues in the help file.

There is a shrine.

I will make it known (when it is fully in place).

Clues? - Pfft, clues are for Imperials who have to have a huge effn city so they can find their way home.

Appropriate place - surrounded by corpses of my enemies (which should also be yours). I will accept anyplace that is reasonably quiet so we can speak. Pray from a guild or the Inn, you will likely have a rough time.

As a note to empowerees/followers - orderly if you want love, anything else is subject to a pat on the butt and kicked out.

*Note: Be prepared for pain.

That just seems a little inconsistent with the whole kicking evils' ass and taking names bit. What happens when a lich runs Tribunal? It would seem to me (my chaos, Entropy lovin' self), that Laws mainly stand in the way of the Good fight when evil runs and hides behind it.

Hey, that's just me, but the impression I got from the first bits about your new religion was the no-holds barred kind of evil-whuppin' sort of faith.

But it is your religion, and glad to see there's another non-evil one around. Good luck with it!

Here is a basic tenet:

There is one path, there is one law...that of Muhadin.

If evil (no matter the ethos) is present, I would ask my follower, why they have not been killed, driven from the land, their wells poisoned and their lands burned.

Mortal laws have failed = they are of no matter.
Cabals have failed = they are of no matter.
(other) Religions have failed = they are of no matter.

It is a sin to slay one of the Light, it is a greater sin to allow evil to escape while being protected by the Light (i.e., Tribunal).

Orderly good, does not consititute acceptance of orderly evil. What matters is the will of Muhadin...and it is unforgiving and uncompromising.

would conjurers be allowed to gaunt? Can summoners summon evil mobs to hit thirsting villagers/bards/invokers?

To use/tolerate/abide/carry/hold/sell/trade/barter/summon/conjure evil is to be evil.

Such an attitude will not garner lots of followers, but then not everyone likes this approach. Pretty much, if you cannot be hardcore, you will not fare well in this religion. Hardcore, however, does not mean foolish or wasteful of their own lives. There is a fine line there, and I expect some may have issues with it.

Being neutral is to close to being evil? Just from what I've read so far, I have a wonderful spin on nature/Muhadin. But I don't want to spend hours writing a role, roll up the char, plug it in and pray to be told to piss off.

Piss off.

Actually, as much as I like druids, Muhadin has a pretty narrow view point. Being neutral, they could group with evils, wear evil gear, perform evil acts, and so on. Bearing that in mind, it wouldn't fit the religion.

A basic look it Muhadinsim is there is GOOD = Muhadin, and everything else is evil or questionable at best. Do followers hunt neutrals?...circumstances dictate. The helpfile indicates Muhadin feelings towards others.

What about hunting goods who are not Muhadin followers? There is a price to pay for good v good action.

As an Imperial can I go to your shrine for a pat on the butt and some pain if I'm masochistic? I'll bring my own whips!

How can your character's alignment be good when you do not forgive?

Mayby I'm reading too much into this statement, but part of "goodness" is showing mercy to those who truly repent. To not forgive repented error, especially in someone good aligned, is to spit on mercy which is demonstrated love; the heart of goodness itself.

How can someone love a master who doesn't love them; one who is ruthless and cruel in his expectations?

Yeah, it's a game, not trying to flame you or anything, but the whole concept of this belief system just throws me off a tad, was curious.

What is "good" about Muhadin other than he says he is?

But if a duergar, say, is genuinely seeking redemption, it's most definately frowned upon to hunt that guy down. And once he actually recieved redemption, it'd be definately a bad idea.

Kind of sounds like you're forgiving him or something, huh?

I am not going to debate the definitions of good and evil, I leave that for theology folks, but I believe there are an infinite number of definitions.

A couple of things: I am not sure where you picked up the idea that followers should 'love' Muhadin...that is not part of the religion. If you want 'love' there is plenty among the Fortress immortals.

C
I am 'cruel'? I don't believe I am cruel, but again that is a matter of definitions.

Your premise that Muhadin is not good is based on the concepts of love and forgiveness, which feels very limiting to the expression of the playerbase.

I think valuing forgiveness and mercy so highly is predominantly a Christian derived notion. I think there's many ways you can express 'goodness' (charitability, self-sacrifice, strict moral code which prevents harming innocents, etc) without being forgiving or pacifist.
