The search page works, though it is not as sophisticated as the old forum search. This archive encompasses approximately 25 years of CF discussion. #38, "Muhadin and the Faithful"

Sorry for the confusion. Just doing some housekeeping. Any comments feel free to start a new thread.

Tenets of the Faithful

The only true god is Muhadin An'hallah.

The only true path is through Muhadin An'hallah.

Muhadin An'hallah is the only true path of Light.

The Faithful shall not enter into compact with another order, religion,
organization, god or power.

Laws, social structures, gods, religions and races are corrupt and in
decline. Only the Faithful remain pure and true to the ways and
understanding of the Light.

The Faithful shall not tolerate the summoning, conjuring or presence of
any evil creature.

The Faithful shall not possess, bear, carry, wear, own, trade, barter,
give or sell items that are tainted by evil. To willingly allow the taint
of evil to touch the Faithful except in its destruction is blasphemous.

The Faithful shall show respect towards their enemies once they are dead.

The Faithful shall find and purge all those who actively follow false gods
or ideals. Those who actively follow false gods, shall be the first to die.

Retain what goods you can immediately use. All excess is to be placed
within the Temple. Nothing is to be given to any failed system or marked
follower of another god. Do not be greedy, but do not give objects of
significance to other religions or organizations.

The Faithful shall speak of Muhadin to all, so that they may understand
their fate.

The Faithful shall respect mortal laws as much as they respect any failed
institution.

To slay one of the Light is a sin. To allow evil to exist is a greater sin.

Should the Faithful harm the Light in their purging of evil, give them
understanding that their presence or actions hindered you from following
the will of Muhadin. The Faithful shall make immediate amends and
remuneration to those of good souls as to prepare them to return to their
battles. After compensation has been tendered, the Faithful shall then
return to the temple for a period of meditation, contemplation and
judgment.

The Faithful shall not consume or imbibe any addictive or narcotic
substance - alcohol/drugs

The Faithful do not accept the prayers of others not of the Faith.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

While those are the basic guidelines to the Faithful, others may seek only empowerment or recognition. Understand, if a character does not desire to seek the path of the Faithful, that character will never see a tattoo or the 'other' benefits of the religion.

What do I expect? I expect to see hardcore and harda** attempts and successes at following the tenets. There are no excuses or exceptions. There will be pain, hardship and blood, but it is my intent to provide side benefits (of an as yet unspecified nature) to those who work within CF's system and my religion.

On empowerment and othe interactions: DO NOT seek empowerment, tattoo or any religion-based benefits without a role that reflects your decision to seek the Faithful, seek empowerment or anything similar. Also, do not approach for empowerment unless you are nearing the time when you can kill or be killed by others.

I am sure more will come to mind, and these tenets are subject to modification as the religion is put more and more into play.

Good Luck!
