Make everyone in a gang PK get an assist. No KB for anyone.
Doesn't hamper clowns from piling on almighty EHL, but maybe discourages ganging down sad Herald gnome (Sorry, Whildur) if you can't get a PK win out of it? Also makes your PK win record more accurate, because who looks at gankometer anyway.

1) Sure 2) Hello no, because then I could research all possible item sets in advance and then hoard the rarest pieces to prevent mummies from existing period. (Lich quests are personalized afaik)

Say I study PBFs for Becoming quest items.
Say I kill a necro (or locate object/peek). I look in their corpse and see one or more Becoming quest items.
I take them (obviously) and cross-reference these items to PBFs to determine their set. I then proceed to hoard/camp them.
If these item sets were not posted to PBFs, it is unlikely I would know what items to take, and even more unlikely I would be able to figure out your whole quest set from memory or experience alone, without having played a bunch of mummies.
This proposed change makes it far too easy to grief a mummy quest.

Maybe it would encourage the people who really care about their PK stats to not group with cabalmates when hunting, but that's sort of OOC behavior in many cases.
You should want your enemy dead and also (in most cases) want to keep your cabal mates from being killed. There's safety and strength in numbers. I can only imagine the tortured RP trying to explain why you don't want to join the hunt for, or form a party to defend against, your enemies. And it may reduce the incentive to keep a cabal healthy and active with members if it's better to solo-kill and your enemies are also only solo-killing.
Also, it would further marginalize support classes. Everyone's not meant to fight alone. If you put enough pressure on people to hunt alone (and if there's really enough who care about PK stats for this change to make an impact), then everyone's going to be playing a solo-killer class.
But, I could be wrong.

Fortress would literally never get a killing blow if this was implemented.
