#5787, "Movement and resting"

Would it be possible to increase the movement regen ratio? I'm sure I don't want to know how much of my time is wasted resting those sore legs, even with dextrous chars.

You might have missed the specifics when they went in, but
these boots will help with movement regeneration. Probably
not at the level you're looking for, but it *is* a boost.

There are rare items in the game with that capability and
it does show up on identify, appraise, lore, etc.

Recheck the Academy.... or....

There's a bunch of items in the game which effect movement regeneration. More are in the pipeline. I don't think giving everyone tons of free movement is good for the game (see Nep's post for one reason), but I like the idea that you can make a decision to gear for it if it's a priority to you.

You know, running an opponent out of moves is meant to be a viable PK tactic -- and classes with mobility advantages either in the sense of greater movement points, greater movement regeneration, or alternate forms of locomotion, are meant to have just that: advantages.

I suppose it could be possible to set it so that you have current movement regen after a pk fight, and an improved one if say you haven't been in a pk fight for the last 15 minutes or something. However, people would be more often at full move to start with when a PK fight comes around, than not (especially if they've been travelling somewhere).

Disclaimer: I'm not advocating this plan, as I'm perfectly happy how things are, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

You'd still run out just as soon, but instead of having to sleep eight ingame hours, you'd only need five. And, in case of a pk chase, those faster pursuers are still going to find you resting.

It's just annoying that a dextrous mid-rank char has to fully rest to reach a somewhat nearby area

Dex isn't really a factor in movement, the last I checked.

I'd argue the faster you move and the higher your metabolism the LONGER you take to regenerate movement.
