But can we get a sense of what goes into the charge calculation?
Is it just something straightforward like PKs since last death? PK ratio over last 10 kills/deaths?
What I'd think would be good would be: Total = (Total PKs / 75) ^ 1.5 Streak = (PKs since last death ^ 1.15) / 10
charge value = Total + Recent
If kills since last killed by this ap < 2 charge value = charge value / 2 else If kills since last killed by this ap < 1 charge value = 0
These particular numbers give about 1-3 charges across 75-200 PKs range, and 1 - 7 charges across the 10-50 kill streak range.
Is it anything like this?
P.S. Why yes, I did just waste some time coming up with numbers nobody cares about.

Maybe max stats to start with? Will help newbies and really not affect gameplay much. One could do something like no starting trains and you get an extra train every 10 levels. So 5 total. Age changing stats would have to be looked over too.

I miss the days of getting the perfect role. Granted, the new rolling system gets you an 'acceptable' role WAY WAY quicker than the old, but I liked the opportunity to put in more time for more of a payout.

Lameness. I did not like the old rolling system at all. It just made a newbie who had no idea what they were doing get a really ####ty roll and have no idea.

When they redid the rolling system, they lowered the 'max roll' on most races. You used to be able to roll much closer to racial maximums than you can now.
I most definitely DO NOT miss using my roller
I most definitely DO miss the 'better' set of starting stats.

I really wish that very low int/wisdom races started closer to racial max and human races. It means not having people new to the game, struggle with finding gear to raise their stats to max or keep that piece(s) of fine leather so that one's stats stay up or a shifter reverting to avoid lost practices due to gear maxing wisdom, etc. This isn't a big problem for races that spend 1 practice per skill or get more than 3 practices per level, in most instances.

I kinda did like getting a perfect roll. On some races you cannot get close to a perfect roll now to cover your main stats (even with the 3 trains you get).
I suppose, I mostly agree with you.

I was curious. Does not appear you can get 13 int, but you can get 15 wis. Also, looks like you can not get 14 int & 15 wis, because the other stats all have a variance of 1, but wisdom has a variance of 2. I like the variation of rolls, becuse it allows people to use their limited trains in slightly different ways.

They might be able to cover a stat they want maxed with gear but they do not know gear that covers that for what they are playing. A lot of the time the stat you choose is the one you least care about (which is simple for mages usually). Or the one you think you can cover the easiest with gear. EX: I want to play a villager and maybe I cannot find a non-magical equivalent for Int (because I hate slow skill learns).
At least now you cannot mess up stat rolling nearly as badly as you used to be able to.

I'm not sure I agree. It only adds a few seconds to the rolling process. The variance is so low that you can repeat all your options within a few seconds, but still allows some customizability with your starting character that takes us away from the feel of cookie cutter MMO.
I think newer players SHOULD get that scared feeling that they have support for their questions but no guard rails and they can mess up their character permanently. Emphasizes what's cool about the game, and after all, in a few minutes they're going to be training stats at their guildmaster.
Just my own two cents, but I think I like it the way it is, and I'd much rather limited immplementor time was used for something else.
