I don't see us changing it soon -- and if we did, it'd probably be balanced to work like now if you have a pretty hefty amount of saves.

Even if Shaman had an invisible boost to their spells given by how empowered they are by their deity. I think that would be an awesome RP based solution to saves on a shaman. I've not gotten to play a Shaman yet, but it is on my list somewhere to have one eventually.
Edit: added more details to the idea. I hope this gets some creative ideas flowing.

Like Healers and Druids, Shamans gain a bonus to supplication level based on wisdom. Edges can further modify spell level.

Does shaman dispel really have to dispel communes and magic? Just dispelling communes is bad enough, but dispelling communes and magic. That is just brutal. (It is probably the point for it to be brutal though.) ^_^
