With the shaman revamp in place, any way we can look at dispel/Divine Intervention/Light of Heaven and add a save versus spell check?

It is/will be extremely problematic (read: almost impossible) for any non-ABS forms of damage reduction to come into play if shamans and paladins are still allowed to freely strip preps on people wearing -70 saves or above. It should be weighted to some varying degree against both higher level preps being beneficial but have a check against the character's saves as well as the effect's level.

I don't see us changing it soon -- and if we did, it'd probably be balanced to work like now if you have a pretty hefty amount of saves.

Even if Shaman had an invisible boost to their spells given by how empowered they are by their deity. I think that would be an awesome RP based solution to saves on a shaman.
I've not gotten to play a Shaman yet, but it is on my list somewhere to have one eventually.

Like Healers and Druids, Shamans gain a bonus to supplication level based on wisdom. Edges can further modify spell level.

Does shaman dispel really have to dispel communes and magic?
Just dispelling communes is bad enough, but dispelling communes and magic. That is just brutal. (It is probably the point for it to be brutal though.) ^_^
