And the answer was yes, spin is a dex-based skill. This also makes sense from a logic standpoint, since you're trying to deflect incoming weapons by spinning a long shaft in your hands. Try it sometime IRL. It's not that easy to do and requires a fair bit of dexterity just to spin the thing without dropping it.

But it wouldn't be to hard to rank up and arial warrior to about 5 w a practice staff the do the same with a dwarf and see if there seems to be a difference between the two as far as spin firing goes. I've used staff on low level giants and it didn't feel like they spinned much.

Sure felt like my dex human tanked better than my storm giant, but people swear up and down to me that dex affects spin.
Could have just been the better dodge though I guess.
