I have the iron grip control but recently an elf paladin was able to use force of will to dispel the iron grip effect.

Is this suppose to happen like this? I thought it was undispellable after the control is attained.

Dispel magic / dispel can't remove irongrip, but force of will can.

This is actually the main selling point of having force of will.

I've had two Ret Paladins at this point and always heard this about Force of Will. I used to try to use it on AP's multiple times until I finally just thought it didn't do this. I never had this happen while using it. Is it just super rare that this particular effect of FoW actually works? It always was better for me to use other tactics than spam it against buff AP's.

As Cabdru did you ever hesitate to fight Ret Paladin knowing he had this ability?

One on one, no. In groups it definitely factored into my planning if I knew I was dealing with one.

(And before I really got rolling, also no -- there was a point where I was more fixated on controls than charges, exactly.)

Given the lower numbers in general of the playerbase?

Just a thought.

... I've had 2 hero APs 1 lvl 40 and 1 lvl 36, one obtained up to acid, one obtained up to infernal. It didn't feel impossible in any way. Sure, wasn't easy, but who said getting AP controls SHOULD be easy?

If I as a "newbie" AP-player did that, with the current playerbase, playing EURO hours... Then perhaps it is too easy?

Always shoot first and then call whatever you hit the target.

... I ever only think I've seen it used against me two or three times though, all three times it worked however, which ended up with a "ca excision return self" or "flee/tele"... Or something similar.

Always shoot first and then call whatever you hit the target.

If I didn't, I would have changed it a long time ago.
