It's bad and might get your character denied. It always doesn't but it might and you have no right to complain if you do this and get denied. Sometimes there is mercy and the character is allowed to continue, but you can't count on getting the mercy if you do this.

-Whether you out yourself in the goodbye thread is a major factor. If everyone knows who plays your character, the odds are you are forced to delete when you reactivate. -You might be allowed to continue if you don't out yourself in the goodbye thread. -You are allowed to continue if delete and reactivate without posting goodbyes.
There are other factors such as which immortals are online making the call, the mood of the said immortals, political climate in the cheating front etc. For example, the Imms claiming in choir that Thnoumundin deleting and reactivating was a bad thing to do even though they let it slide this once arises from the political climate. Deleting, posting goodbyes and reactivating is something Imms don't want to see here and they are willing to make the next guy who does it a warning example. Thus, the political climate is really bad for those wanting to delete, post goodbyes and reactivate afterwards and will be a major factor when making the decision.

I wasn't very active when all of it went down. By the time I noticed he was back and running and opted to leave it be.
What's changed for me is being much more active about people who post their own battlefield thread (which annoys the #### out of me, Do you have no self-control? Can't you just wait 3 days? You might actually want to reactivate) and pushing them through so they don't get the opportunity to reactivate. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Came up as a rage-delete and 3 days before the thread went up. bleh Always shoot first and then call whatever you hit the target.

Relates to rage.
So if you die to a kobold using a jagged iron key as a sword, then delete. Its still a rage.
