#23685, "Age and stats"
|
Is it possible to waste practices by maxing stats that get raised via age? For example, if you start with 18 chr, your racial max is 20 and it goes up by 2 when you hit mature, are those two points lost? Does this happen, or is your train preserved in some way (perhaps by acting as a buffer for stat loss due to age)?
If it is possible to waste trains in this fashion, what are the stat changes at each tier? Is this something it's okay for people to post, even if the staff doesn't feel like digging up or presenting the info themselves?

Has anyone ever died because of the jump between middle-age and Old age from the loss of CON?

Yes.
Actual stat modifiers: you get +1 wis and +1 con at mature.
That's all I'd really worry about. Your mental stats go up and physical stats go down at middle age and old, but I personally never plan for this.

Actually you get +1 wis and +1 str at mature, not +1 con.
Well...maybe you get +1 con also, but I've never noticed since I max con first.
I know you get +1 wis and +1 str, at least. +1 con also would be even nicer.
