Is there any hope for something being implemented whether it be in prompt or via command so a player could see what kind of room it is considered? I'm talking more along the lines of cavernous/subterranean, fields, etc. rather than the vague wilderness/civilized part you can see in prompt. Sometimes it's not all that obvious, or even misleading. Just a thought. Maybe it hasnt been put in already for reasons that it could somehow be abused or what not. Regardless, I just wanted to hear some thoughts on this.

For the classes that have a certain knowledge of specific terrain, they do have this ability. Will you see it for everyone, doubtful.
Orcs can tell if they are in caves. Rangers can tell their home terrain types. Druids have a greater understanding of terrain. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Letting subterranean scan races tell when they're in a subterranean room seems like it'd be a good addition to me. Other than that I'm pretty happy with what's out there right now.

Yeah, I guess I could see it either way. Even though I'm pretty sure a normal person could tell a cave from a cave and a field from a field, etc., I see where you're coming from and it makes perfect sense in a gaming environment.
But that being said, what Daevryn suggested also makes good sense and would probably be a good addition following that theme. Any hope for that in the near future?

True. That makes perfect sense looking at it that way.

If I recall correctly, it is already in, but only some classes can tell the difference.
