man I liked you and our fights were some of the funniest around, you were pure scary. And every time i saw you fight, or when people talked about you fighting it was pure beastmode. Then the two or three times you fought me murphys law hit you and i went into crazy riposte mode with double wrath swords and i think i killed you twice without ever actually targeting you.

But overall you were a good guy i think, and I didnt really see much of the ooc stuff other than some of the stuff you said seemed more techinical than i would have liked but was easily overlooked and no big deal as far as I could tell.

Good luck with you next , and make a island we need someone to come put up spome 100-5 pk stats then age die, hahahahah.

Epitaph

The darkest parts of Aran'gird
Came from this duergar
And you'll be surely jiggered,
To sounds of my sitar:

Sindrir Hraesson was his name and Viper the alias.
He wasn't the divine one, and neither the messiah.
He came with only broadsword and knowing rudiments,
The Champion of Blade Sect Hall, and slayer of serpents.

Empire grow stronger day by day while Kregan and the Viper,
Conquer the lands through traveling the holy lands and wider.
They stumble once in mountains at Scarabaeus shrine,
And ancient evil did appear before their fearless sight.

Tsalantha - Flame of the Scarab, the reaper of the souls
Has slashed with her flaming sword and bells of chapel tolls...
Tsalantha grinned evilly, her bloodlust knew no bounds,
As lady Kregan and Sindrir were buried to the ground.

And there is no more Emperor, there will be no crusade,
So who will fight the ancient force that can not stay unpaid?

PS: Was a pleasure to meet in the game such a ready to help players!
Thank you both, and to all who helped me with that crazy Rdenbrel.

Cheers

I hope now its a bit clearer why I didn't have all the answers to be able to help you with everything, I was learning just as much as you. But I did have a bit of a dated background to draw on.

I hope you are back in some way shape or form. Good luck.

Awesome. Just deserts my friend. I looted two bloodstone rings from Sam's character and was gonna give them to that drow, but he was a slack ass and you were committed to the phalanx. Best investment I ever made in the empire. Can't wait to be in the fray beside you again.

Rock on Emperor Sindrir.

I always get way too long winded with these things. I always forget way too many people in the process. So this time I'm going to try and keep it short and sweet. Anyone who wants to know anything specific will have to ask:

I rolled Sindrir because the middle ranges were plump full of thieves and assassins. I had no intention of making it past 30. I just wanted to see if I could stomach Duergar vulns for a future project. Then I got utterly stacked (thanks Deathkitty's Invoker #1... and Invoker #2) and next thing i knew I was 26-0 or something in PK. A bit after that I was wrapped up in the political side of things and I quickly realized why so many people love the Imperial dynamic.

What everyone will want to know about is the coup. I got Anathema for being mouthy after I gave the Orb to the Orcs because we'd lost the Codex during a simultaneous raid. I got demoted again (I'd already been Anathema once before over a misunderstanding) and well, Sindrir isn't the type to say "thank you sir may I have another." I was pretty pissed, as a player. I was going to delete and start something else. I apologize to the people around me at those moments as I was probably slipping into ooc (a sin I rarely commit). Then Destuvius came down and got me fired up again. He's good at that. I don't know that I've seen a CF imm that can dictate the direction of a story while making a shove feel like a subtle nudge.

So after I was cast out I knew I had two options. Either make this an all out war against Empire or try to frame it like I was the good guy. I had nothing against Zhabala and even less against Xeneth (aside from the infrequent log in's) but I had to make them seem like the cancer that was killing Empire. Thus the notes, thus the strategic raiding/killing, etc. I honestly dont' think what I did could have worked at any other time in my six years of playing here. The stars and circumstances were right for something this drastic to take place. I also hope it gives future Anathema a reason to keep playing. This is an amazing realm where anything can happen. You just have to push for it.

When I got Emperor I knew my time would be short. I was basically only living based on -age gear. Tonight I died to villagers and didn't even make it three steps from my pit. For all the people whining about me not taking chances, that's why. I knew I was on my last death for many weeks now.

On to the goodbyes,

Destuvius: A thousand thank you's for everything. The opportunities, the pep talks, etc. I got mouthy with you a few times ("You've made a great enemy" and such nonsense) but I hope you saw that for it was: Sindrir was stupid and insecure. Making me kill Kregan was a great arc for the character, even though it sucked. I really had to wrestle with that decision.

Kregan: Which brings me to my mentor and War Master. The perfect Blade, the perfect companion. When you got promoted I knew I had to overthrow you, it was my role. Sindrir had killed his own father and brothers, nothing could stop him from his ascent. Well, nothing except Kregan. I had to write into my role that you were the one person who Sindrir had ever assigned any value to because I just coudln't bring myself to stab you in the back. The sacrifices you made both for the Empire and for Sindrir were massive. That untold story that rarely makes it into the history books yet served as the foundation for the accomplishments. I'm glad you got those echoes, they were fitting. I really felt bad when you didn't get back in. I'm glad you took it so well. I still feel partially responsible.

Yaztran: Thank you for taking the journey with me. We were a real force to be reckoned with when we were on the same page. Go get Emperor you deserve it.

Galeroux: You seem very new. I hope you take the frustrations in stride. Not many players can say they were cherry picked as a Dread Lord while still roaming around in fine leather armor. Keep it going.

Fessara: Silent but deadly. I wish I could have seen how our relationship would have developed going forward but we play opposite schedules. Keep the village in line.

Zhabala: As I said above it was truly nothing personal. I really wish you'd of joined me. I felt like there wasn't anything in the game pc or npc that we couldn't topple together.

Xeneth: I eluded to it above, it was nothing personal. I enjoyed trading barbs via note with you. I may post some of them on Dios if you don't mind. (When I'm unbanned that is, which reminds me: NbM you're still a bitch).

Ulthrok: I finally got to be on the same side as Twist. Not nearly long enough. Thank you for the RC win (and to you too, Raybaer) and the hell trip. I still can't believe we made it after having to sit in Dis for 3 days.

Nhasheli: To the above I have to again apologize for costing you all your gear in that Hell run. I really wasn't thinking after 9+ hours or whatever it was. We should have waited for you to get your things before pressing on. Both of your invokers were awesome and absolute game changers for Empire. Your presence was badly missed and I would have loved to see how you would have acted during the civil war.

Sulnegn: Keep on trucking man. You're doing a great job.

Aaolatha: I meant what I said right before I logged out. I really didn't like you but you grew on me like a cancerous little ball. You know what you need to do.

Altovos: Since I can't post on Dios I'll say this here: You did not have enough gold to be promoted. When you asked I told you to get 40 more. You told me you were tired of being "strung along". If 80 gold is too much you never would have made it, Pro. An elite has anywhere from 300-1000 at any given time. I myself donated over 3k in my life time. I was very clear and even polite while trying to explain to this you. You say you "questioned" me? ####, you said (and I quote): "Do you want a bard or not?" I answered not and you were my one and only Anathema. I don't care who you are, what you are, you can't talk to an Emperor (or anyone else for that matter) like that. With that being said I encourage you to try again. It's a great cabal.

Daphedee: So many plans, so little time. I wish you'd of come long about 400 hours earlier. The game is always better when there's a kickass High Herald.

Hitripimpilimpimpi: You were the main reason I kept going after Anathema. Thank you for the help, the advice and the laughs. It's the first time in a long time that I'd even consider playing Tribunal and it's all because of what you've built.

Enemies: Too many to name. Some good, some bad, some ugly. On a parting note I get that this CF and PK is the backbone of why we play but this full looting trend needs to stop. Take what you want, take what you need, but just emptying someone's corpse to sacrifice everything is a #### move. Can't we all just get along?

Well done.

I enjoyed our interactions and the deaths and that last kill.

I agree on the full loots.

Take a piece or two or more if it is his last death, but not full looting anymore.

I knew that the two of us were well onto the point of pushing up the daisys, I had been wearing -'ve age gear for quite some time before my last death and you had been doing the same. I do wish in some part you still had some more time to go.

Thanks for adding me into your role, I never planned to ever have such an impact at the start I really just wanted to dip my feet back in the water the problem for that with me was my first 300 odd hours were pretty rubbish. But my best hours were definitely as I hit about 400hrs. Luckily this seemed to happen when you started moving into the hero ranks. I quite literally felt unstopable with just the two of us, and the death in Imperial lands against that group of 5 damnit I thought we could do it and boy did we get close! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and in all honestly don't feel bad about me not getting back in. For what it is worth I held Blades accountable to look up to you, I honestly tried to "interview" every Blade and I was grooming you for War Master. One of the last things I asked Xeneth was if I could choose my successor. So when everything went to crap and for what I saw the foundation crumbling I did what I thought right to return Empire to strength. As an Anathema I was always going to try get back in but me demoting myself was always going to be alot worse than someone else doing it. Unfortunately alot of this is lost in what by that point was getting to be a bad role and a decision to stop putting the Imms through it.

I really had no plans for you after the Anathema, but I figured I'd give you a little RP and see where you took it. When you later came and approached me about the whole rebirth of Empire under your watch etc, I decided to give you a shot. I figured one of two things would happen: Either Xen and Zab would step it up and get recruiting/promoting/etc to keep Empire on the up or you would grab control and that would spark some new life into the cabal. Either way, the cabal was going to end up with the new life it needed after it had turned fairly stagnant.

As far as the whole "every Anathema gets a free pass thing," I assumed that you as a player would have to know that was not going to happen. The whole having you go kill Kregan thing I felt was the perfect way to solidify that you were willing to do whatever the Empire needed, and you did not disappoint. I am also glad that little story arc I threw at you didn't take away all the other fun.

Glad you enjoyed it and it will be interesting to see what is next for you.

You did tell me at one point that I could appoint Kregan back, when I was confused about the voting set up:

You tell Destuvius 'And what of Kregan then?'

civilized <1108 456 966 | 12 AM indoor waxing>
Destuvius tells you 'That fate is yours to determine should you reach the Throne.'

In hindsight I can see how you worded it (her fate: live or die) but you can also see how it created the expectation. But as I said above, it was a good arc. One I wish could have played out a bit longer. I just hit my stride about 300 hours too late with this character, which was something else I blamed you for IC.

Thanks for the fun. It was my most memorable experience to date.

I had nothing against the player, but... While anathema you did so many things that would go against imperial law, and that was something I could not role with.

I was thinking several times, to role your way, BUT - What would it give me?! Nothing, as you would be emperor.. So my best shot, was to stay put and hope for a change at the throne. Leaving me as the only option to Xeneth really. But, I lost interest in the char after almost 3-4 weeks where I would be the only Imperial on, and with you, kregan, Yaztran running after me, along with scarabs, outlanders and villagers... So I burned out. A healer is fun, when you have friends, a lone healer in empire, well... I went to first circle of hell once, to kill a mob there, and after having spent 4 hours or so, I finally killed the mob. It would have taken me and Sindrir like 5 minuts, tops!

So, bit thumbs up for sticking it out. A (IC) thumbs down, for breaking imperial law so many times while anathema (I know why and your justification of it, I just dont agree)

See you in the fields.
