You deserved to be an Acolyte. Unfortunately sometimes timing is everything, and I've been occupied with other things lately. That's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.
Good luck with your next.

I have to ask. How much does it really take to make this char an acolyte? A keystroke? Tell me please if there is more to it. I've never played fort.

I like to talk/interact with people about the what/why behind it. Sounds like that method didn't work out for this character, but I don't intend on changing how I do things because of it.

So because you did not want to take the time to give them deserved powers that are function of the cabal he joined...
The character got to waste his time?
I dont understand why wasting his time when he deserved the power is fair at all. They are rolepay/basic mechanism of the path he wished to be.
This is why the whole Fortress/tier thing sucks.
Too bad it was too much to let the character Altruism. Right

My play times and any given person's play times don't always match up 100% of the time. That means the amount of time I have to watch said people is a fair bit less than the time they're putting in.
When looking at who deserves to become Acolyte, it's not as easily quantified as, say, EPKs. It's looking at overall RP, communication in the cabal, outside the cabal, actions, etc.
I didn't get to see Llivivul all that much, so my ability to make a decision over the month this character was alive was somewhat hamstrung. I did see hints of good things with said character in the last 10 days, which is why I said it was deserved. But you know, sometimes I have non-CF things to do (it's a busy time of year, after all) and that's how it goes.

Is there a single bigger post that defines the dysfunctional immortal ranks than this?
You can't find the time in a month to interact with the guy, he deletes.
You then say you couldn't make the time, and you don't trust any other immortal to make him an acolyte? Meanwhile other imms are handing out interactions and rewards like candy.
I like that you want it to be more in depth than a simple button click but the problem is this is inconsistent behavior. If all staff had this mentality, I think we wouldn't have an issue. However, when a character can get leader/quest forms in that same month that you couldn't find time to interact, how is this a good experience for the player?
This is exactly why people complain about Baer. She does so well and is so up to date on her followers and interactions, it sets a bar so high that the rest of you are unable or unwilling to reach.

Firstly, that's not why people complain about Baer.
Secondly, Iunna/Padwei is a volunteer whose interest is liable to wax and wane. There's nothing to help this but simply being understanding of your fellow humans beings. If someone failing to meet an expectation you've set for them kills your fun, fine - but accept and own the fact that that's your doing (with your silly expectations), not an Imm's.
There is no one to blame for what essentially amounts to circumstance - except yourself, if those circumstances bother you. Splntrd

If you guys haven't noticed, Padwei and Iunna are listed as DORMANT. Always shoot first and then call whatever you hit the target.

All staff, with respect to Fortess, at least, does have this same mentality.
In general, I think it would be more healthy for you to focus on yourself and your personal improvement, as opposed to complaining about what other deserving people get.

You were doing good there for a while. You just needed to hang in there a while and you would have totally made acolyte. A little bit of patience goes a long way. regardless of what you might think on the lines of *I was patient* 106 hours is not patient. GLWYN.

The #### you complaining about. I'd say getting acolyte within 106 hours would be a god damn blessing. He gave up too early. Not anyone's fault but his own. I've got a single #### to give...and it's just for you.
