Wow, so cranial is -10 wisdom for 16 hrs? Ouch. I assume this has to do with thirst?
Another one:
civilized <259hp (21%) 438m 1079mv 4582tnl (74.82%)> (2 AM) full none aff You are affected by: Skill: 'axe kick' modifies dexterity by -5 for 10 hours. Skill: 'axe kick' modifies strength by -4 for 10 hours. Physical effect: 'disrupt bone' modifies dexterity by -8 for 6 hours. Physical effect: 'disrupt bone' modifies strength by -8 for 6 hours. Power: 'resistance' modifies constitution by 2 for 5 hours. Spell: 'bioluminescence' modifies armor class by 110 for 3 hours. Skill: 'berserk' modifies armor class by 24 for 2 hours. Skill: 'berserk' modifies hit roll by 4 for 2 hours. Skill: 'berserk' modifies damage roll by 9 for 2 hours. Power: 'spellbane' modifies save vs spell by -16 for 1 hours. Skill: 'poultice' for 0 hours.
Two things here. One, I'm pretty sure axe kick isn't -10/-8 for 20 hours, and if it is, that kinda makes assassins the most maledictive class in the game (which doesn't seem right...should be shamans or necros).
Also, with the last character I had with Riddle (granted, this was in 2006) disrupt bone seemed to be affected by Riddle but doesn't seem so here.
And finally, is it an oversight or game design that makes bard songs completely immune to Riddle?
Ah well, just wanted to point these out.

I don't know where people ever got and latched onto the idea that riddle = everything's halved.

Basically it works on the stuff it's supposed to, but that's mostly the physically crippling stuff.
E.g., it's going to help you out with something like Disrupt Bone or Crimson Scourge, but not with something like Weaken.
