We actually have every skill and spell in the game at our disposal, as well as being able to inflict illnesses. So this is possible. Just remember that Imms have roles too, which could preclude doing some of the things you are talking about. At the end of the day, no Imm wants to plague/smite/kill a mortal, so we tend to be direct, so our message gets across without misinterpretation. Least that's how I see it.
