After having more than 1 savage of various races I think I understand the basics. You, however, missed my point -- the ranger should've been significantly out damaging the warrior with this skill, those weapons and home terrain and he wasn't. Rangers have few enough spots/situations where they ought to be really feared in melee and this was one of them. And he still got straight out-meleed by a warrior.

I'm not saying it didn't do anything, just that it didn't do enough here. If you read the helpfiles you'd think that not only would attacks go down (which they did) but parries should as well. And given the description for the skill, I'd think dodge would decline as well (how can you dodge when you're that closely engaged?)

Anyway, I was just pointing out that the skill isn't all that hot in my opinion, not reflecting on the players at all.
