Thanks for saying that. I actually felt like Waserax was a pretty crappy shaman in the PK department. While I did try to avoid being attached at the hip with Hunsobo, honestly, the majority of my PKs at hero were probably while he was present. It would be interesting to see exact numbers on that, but that's probably beyond the scope of what gets recorded in a PBF.

As for rot, there were two main situations when I used it: first, during raids and retrievals where I was trying to slow folks down or kill someone "by any means necessary" in order to facilitate the raid or retrieval. Second, in fights where I had zero chances of killing my opponent any other way. For instance, I tried rot + damnation once while fighting a fully-wanded Tuamerellen.. From a game-theoretic "fair play" point of view this makes perfect sense. If my opponent insists on creating a situation where he has a decent chance to kill me and I have almost no chance of killing him (without rot), then I have no qualms about using rot and forcing him to wait it out. Hopefully, the next time we fight he won't insist on creating so lop-sided a fight.

Also, I consider kills where a guy gets rotted then dies after running away to not really be "victories". It's only a "win" if you kill the guy in such a way that you gain the opportunity to loot his corpse. Otherwise it's only marginally better than a draw.

I liked Xinrithil, but man...you were suicidal. I felt bad fighting you with Hunsobo. Not just because of the bashing, but because I could faerie you and just repeatedly summon you back whenever you fled. So we tried to avoid situations like that. Sometimes I'd randomly "freeze up" and not summon you back before you were able to exit the area. Now, if you'd been able to use potions, I wouldn't have don that. But the no-potion restriction made it like shooting fish in a barrel.
