#3693, "Roleplaying log of "The Wake.""

You say 'I have a memory I would share, if it's not too late.'

People near you:
Halisstra Where the ocean meets the rocks
Temperaleai Where the ocean meets the rocks
(PK) Makish Where the ocean meets the rocks
Sythvaur Where the ocean meets the rocks
(PK) Bellarosea Where the ocean meets the rocks
Ilraeth Where the ocean meets the rocks
Savraeth Where the ocean meets the rocks
Iillien Where the ocean meets the rocks

Iillien leaves down.

Ilraeth nods at you in agreement.

Ilraeth says 'then come and stand before the fire'

The sun rises in the east.

Temperaleai's thirst injures her.
Bellarosea's hunger hits her.

Bellarosea smiles at you.

Makish gets up and walks over to the fire.

Where the ocean meets the rocks
The tumble of rocks that makes up the shoreline here is worn smooth by
the perpetual dashing of the waves against their unyielding surface. To
the south along the coast the land splits between foothills to the east
and endless sands to the west. Directly west from here a path of rocky
land leads along the southern perimeter of the desert city called Hamsah
Mu'tazz.

A black long stemmed rose with single thorn lies here.
(Glowing) A long sword lies here.
A huge bonfire blazes on the ground, drawing heat out of the air.
Translucent flames encircle the elven form of the elemental spirit Savraeth.
Temperaleai the elf is here.
Blue crystals of ice swirl around the elven form of the elemental spirit Ilraeth.
Sythvaur the half-elf is sitting here.
Bellarosea the elf is here.

Makish clasps his hands in front of him and begins speaking.

An eagle flies up to you quickly then slows to a near halt.

The edges of an eagle's being stretch and twist and she returns to normal.

Looking more attentive, Temperaleai listens closely.

Annalena utters the words, 'ghix'.

Annalena utters the words, 'ghix'.
Annalena is moving more slowly.

Temperaleai's thirst injures her.
Bellarosea's hunger hits her.

You say 'This memory is of an awkward gnome I was watching in Hillcrest.'

Bellarosea drinks water from a large water gourd.

Temperaleai gives a berry pie to Bellarosea.

Temperaleai nods at Bellarosea.

Bellarosea gives a large water gourd to Temperaleai.

You say 'His name was Enorran. I doubt any of you know him.'

Bellarosea eats a berry pie.

Annalena utters the words, 'sagg eaaf'.
Annalena turns translucent.

Temperaleai drinks water from a large water gourd.

Temperaleai sings 'When the black breath blows
And death's shadow grows
and all lights pass,
Come athelas! come athelas!
Life to the dying
In the king's hand lying!'

A fragrance of herbs lifts your spirits.

You say 'It seemed wherever he went, he would find a way to embarrass himself.'

The scorching sun parches your mouth.

Temperaleai giggles with pleasure.

You say 'Whether it was in front of the lady gnomes, or the counsel members whom he constantly approached with ridiculous ideas.'

You say 'The gnome was an idiot.'

You say 'A failure.'

The scorching sun parches your mouth.

Temperaleai whispers 'a failure na'er lets his thoughts be known, dearie...'

You say 'He realized this one day as he sat weeping over the short-comings of his life.'

You say 'I made him an offer, an offer that no one else could concieve of.'

You say 'I told him I could make him live forever in the memory of his people.'

The scorching sun parches your mouth.

The edges of Annalena's being stretch and twist and she becomes a racoon.

A racoon forages around and starts chewing on something.

The edges of a racoon's being stretch and twist and she returns to normal.

You say 'To be both mourned when he passed, and cherished when his life was remembered.'

You say 'The price was high I said.'

You say 'He said yes before I could finish the sentence completely.'

Annalena utters the words, 'oculoinfra uizug'.

Bellarosea licks her dry lips.

You say 'So it came to pass that on that very eve he died in the town commons, apparently by some sort of explosive device.'

Temperaleai raises an eyebrow.

You say 'As the bloody chunks of gore rained down upon his people with an almost alluring, morbid hail. I stood back and smiled at my work.'

You say 'For I had created something for everyone to remember.'

Temperaleai shudders at the thought.

Annalena utters the words, 'ghix'.
Annalena is moving more slowly.

You say 'And such a greusome death seemed to wash away any rememberance of his failings in life.'

You say 'Everyone spoke kindly of him from that day forth.'

Temperaleai nods.

Ilraeth says 'Even in slaughter there are things that can be learned and shared'

You say 'And I, myself, took comfort in making such a macabre masterpiece.'

Temperaleai whispers 'morbid, but clever...'

The night has begun.

People near you:
Ananiela Above the crashing waves
Temperaleai Where the ocean meets the rocks
(PK) Makish Where the ocean meets the rocks
Sythvaur Where the ocean meets the rocks
Annalena Where the ocean meets the rocks
(PK) Bellarosea Where the ocean meets the rocks
Ilraeth Where the ocean meets the rocks
Savraeth Where the ocean meets the rocks

You say 'The moral is...'

Annalena utters the words, 'ghaiz gtui'.
Annalena's skin turns to stone.

Sythvaur eats a berry pie.

Temperaleai eats a berry pie.

Sythvaur whispers 'never ask Makish for a favor.'

You say 'Even death is beautiful. Don't fear it.'

Sythvaur nods at you in agreement.

Ilraeth nods.

You say 'And if any of you wish to speak further.'

You say 'I am open to discussion.'

You bow deeply.

Makish walks off amidst the silent crowd.

Ilraeth says 'While it is indeed a morbid tale...'

Ilraeth says 'he is right in saying that death is not to be feared'

Sythvaur nods.

Ilraeth says 'It comes to all things and all beings'

Temperaleai nods.

The night's bitter cold drains your strength.

A zephyr faintly blows through, carrying a faint odor of sulfur.

Ilraeth says 'accept it for what it is, and life will be the greater for it'

***On a side note, I was making all of that up as I went. I couldn't resist a chance to tell a morbid tale***
