We're in agreement that ganging is not desirable. It is impossible to ensure that ganging won't happen during the sylvan warlock war, but the odds of one side's individuals getting repeatedly ganged are reduced by engineering evenly matched sides. As there are valid IC reasons for the war, and it also serves the ooc purpose of helping to balance the cabal wars, I think they are justified.
As far as "returning the favor", the scions currently around weren't those guilty of the ganging, from what I recall. Beating up on the few who are sticking it out would be practicing what we've both condemned here.
