Role

Chapter 1

Talking and singing softly, Arinayar sits on the grass all by herself. She
seems enthralled by brightly hot embers that whirl around her upheld fist.
Swirling rapidly they race up her arm only to find their original spot once
more. As they do, Arinayar softly yells 'Skip, fetch!'. At that a white in
white bunny, seemingly consisting of hardened ice and snow, leaps and jumps
forward as a ball of sparks flies away, abandoning the perch that was
Arinayar's fist.

With a silent bang the ball explodes as the rabbit catches it with a massive
jump. Gleefully Arinayar claps her hands, giggling with pleasure. An
unimpressed voice at her left side says "ribbit". Seemingly unharmed from
snatching those bright embers, the bunny returns and hops around Arinayar's
feet. Disapproving of all that hyper activity, the voice repeats "ribbit".

The bunny returns and hops around the feet of the young girl, still nothing
more is uttered than a deep 'ribbit'. Looking down to her left Arinayar looks
at a frog sitting next to her, responding "Come now Luthor, I don't see you
doing any better." The frog, fashioned out of ooze and vitriol, now remains
silent.

A few yards back Arinayar's parents watch as this scene unfolds. Wondering how
they can support this clearly gifted, but oh so introverted young little Elven
girl.
