Chapter 4

One day, my good friend Kkharys came running back into our village. "Sz'weh!
They come!" We had never encountered the Sz'weh so close to our home. What
could they want? Suddenly, an arrow fell from the sky, through the heart of
Kkharys. He looked at me in shock, before crumbling. I was shocked. We were
being sieged. Our leader, Ghroys roared in fury. We ran to our huts to bear
arms. As I returned holding a long stick, I was stopped by him. "Go. Find
K'sra. We need help. Take care, stay safe." I stupidly followed his orders
and ran as fast as I could. I made it to the village of K'sra faster than I
ever could. I ran into the hut of Ghyss, their leader, and pleaded for help.role + "We belong here, in our village. We do not wander farther out. This is the
cycle, and we come and go with it. Sra and Weh are in balance." I was
confused. Was there not assistance required? Why they dont want help us? I
pleaded with her for a while more before giving up, steeling myself, and
decided to return to my village. "Giant", she said "You were sent here not to
get aid. You were sent here to live. Do not squander." These words echoed
through my mind as I ran back to a scene of dead Saurians. Ghroys laid
motionless, impaled by a large bone. He blinked. Was he alive? I moved to
him. He whispered... "this is our life... this is how we live, this is how
we..."

What? Did he think he did me a favor by sending me away to live? What do I do
now? I do not even know where I came from. I had escaped death twice, only to
lose my life twice? What do I do? How, could these people be so cold hearted?
To not render help to each other? To send me away as if I was not their
family? Did they respect the Sz'weh and died for them? They they accept this
as their fate?I felt sad. Grief. Anger. All of these. Perhaps in my way of
coping, I disowned these values. As Ghroys disowned me. I wanted nothing to
do with the Sra. I walked as far as I could, back to where the swamp met the
open waters and swam, and swam, until I reached a burnt forest. As I
continued, I found myself on even drier land. What is this? Such solid
ground. Ive never experienced this. I kept walking. Walking, until I found
myself in a grand city known as Galadon.
