Chapter 2

Born under the star of concealment, I have learned to use such
ways to survive through such. Hiding your emotions, your morale,
lying, or saving face upon those who hold some sort of power
over you. A true actor to convince those around you of loyalty
and obedience, making them feel as if they have all the power.
It seemed the best way to deal with situations. At times though
the inner despair would leak out in the forms of disrespect and
demeaning those I felt under me, as if having power over someone
felt good. It felt pleasing to be the one who had my
hand around their throat, metaphorically or even physically. I did
what I must

Some would consider this wicked, or evil, but I didn't care. I want to
raise and come out on top of whatever situation I had, either through
concealment of my own feelings and thoughts, or by pressing my boot against
the neck of my foe. This is why I joined the Empire. A perfect place for
my deceit, and a rise to power through the things I was good at.
It also helped that I was a talented singer and surviver, as my voice
at times seemed to have a power to it that I learned how to utilize
through the teachings of the bard school.

Keeping myself alive, doing what is best for myself, concealing my very
nature, is what I had to do, the one downside is that it has weighed
heavily upon my black heart, my jaded mind. It is revealed through
my voice, my song, my performance. The woe, the despair, the tragedy
and trauma, comes through my voice, regardless of how well I conceal
myself from others, though I feel it does strengthen the impact of
the mind of those who oppose me. This suits me well at least as it
daunts the minds of those who threaten my personal desires to survive
and to thrive.
