Chapter 6

I have seen and heard of the...people...of the prime plane taking personal
notes in a book they call a journal. It seems cathartic to them in some way,
but I see the value of cognitive process in doing so, and thus, my own
journal here.


Starting out on the prime, everything has been exactly as I envisioned it. The
tiny conjurer that touched the planes and allowed me to come to her side. We
quickly formed an ideal relationship, my helping her in many ways, and her
providing the avenue for me to remain here and a surprising level of
entertainment and interesting projects. She is obsessed with some pewter
goggles, things that she told me about countless times now. But she has
higher ambitions than just some facial adornments, and has shown a penchant
for gathering others around her that have a like mind an their own unique
abilities to do impressive things (for a person of the prime plane). These
things are all well and good, but the reason for my drive to write this, is
of course the efforts I have suspected, and see evidence of now as well, of
looming efforts of my place here being usurped!


I anticipated this as well, and have already laid out some measures to
protect myself. There is a strange person here, Tamazin, who is some sort of
a magical construct that has been destroyed, but somehow maintains them self
through magic. It wasn't anything I was overly interested in, until they
talked to me more about their desires to.....explode....me. I dismissed the
notion out of hand initially, but the more we talked, the more I realized
that this could be a way for me to counter the forced ejection from the prime
plane by a more advanced janni claiming my connection here with the girl. It
is well known how detrimental such a takeover of this connection is, and I
don't revel in the notion of being ejected to the space between the prime
plane and our own plane, or...worse! I believe now, perhaps, that if I agree
to this Tamazin's efforts to explode me to examine the magical energy within
me that they can see as it is...exploded, that I could seal my own fate to be
severed from the prime plane and go back home instantly instead of being
overtaken by a fellow Janni.
